Why on earth tackle like that man ... completely brain dead.

Fulham with some lovely football just then and should have taken the lead. Terrible mishit by Cavaleiro.

Stars are aligning ... my goodness.

Martin Hardy from the Times reckons he's lost patience with the players who have been telling him they want to play 3 at the back, and he's claiming he wants to go 4-4-2. He's blaming them for the defeats against Brentford and Sheffield in effect, although even if you believe his version, it just shows how indecisive he is. You're the manager you pillock, it's your job to decide formations. He must have lost quite a few of the players so tomorrow's team sheet should be interesting.
He does not coach the team well enough to play a 4-4-2 as we look horrific defensively when he sets us up that way, which is likely why the players were against it.
If he's going back to that again with his still horrific coaching and now the players being dead against it ... it is going to be an unmitigated disaster.

Training was “optional” on Wednesday
I don't have an account. What thre sentence/paragraph that refers to the optional training ?
“Given Bruce’s stern post-match rhetoric, some players were taken by surprise when the next day’s warm-down session remained “optional”.
I think we all know who wants more days off and easy training too!
“There are the usual training-ground gripes at Newcastle. Players out of the team are never happy. Some players want more days off, some want less, some want training to be focused, to train with a purpose, others prefer a lighter touch.l
He's a soft touch that doesn't really have a plan or know what he's doing and the players have been taking the piss. The effects of that are now showing on the pitch.

This guy is really still using "Rafa's tactics" as an excuse for his inability to put a functioning team on the pitch

Xhaka man ... my goodness. So bad.
-
Pepe, man. What an absolute waste of money. Christ. Surely the worst signing for the money paid in recent times?
£72 million ... it's such an unbelievable fee it's untrue. I think it probably is the worst.

If Brighton can play free flowing football against City why can't we? They had chances as well. Because Bruce hasn't a clue.
That was Brighton playing a good number of backup players too!

The GOAT making stuff happen. Letting Penandez have those pen stats by having Sterling take it. Very magnamious.
Nah, he bottled it

Why isn’t KDB taking that?
Killed all the guys that had DeBruyne as captain
Robbed of a goal or assist in one fell swoop!
-
Raheem man. Crikey
-
Mahrez hauled off.
-
Mahrez is having a terrible season so far.
I know you’re simple but howay man.
Hmmm ... okay.
-
Another assist for the Prem's goat? Great to see
Man Utd playing again tonight?
-
Mahrez is having a terrible season so far.
Is he?
Feels like he has been very hit and miss and lost his starting place of late.
Also seems off the pace for his typical numbers in recent seasons. 4 goals and 1 assist so far. 3 goals were in one game.
-
Man, this Tau guy looks decent for Brighton.

I dunno why I read replies to those articles
In answer to the question Dylan, yes, we should be challenging the top 6. Now fuck off back into your box.
What kind of football supporter would be content with 15th ffs. If your ambition isn't at least to get into the top 10 and push on towards Europe, whats the point?
At this point we all just don't want to be bored to death by terribly incompetent teams every week. It's not even that deep.

Plenty calling out the kunt now
Shame they didn’t listen earlier to the ungrateful mags
Yup. It's only because of Sheffield United's record and the fact they beat us.
It's clear none of these people actually watch the games. Doubt they even watched the one yesterday, and are just going off the result.

Man ... we were so close to building the club up to something worthwhile again. So close.
We really weren't. The sort of infrastructure Rafa was talking about building requires investment, and Ashley was never interested in infrastructure as there's no obvious quick gains to be made. Rafa knew by the end that he was never going to be on the same wavelength as the owner and that was never going to change. In hindsight even fighting to sign Rondon was a ridiculous state of affairs for a manager of his pedigree. He wouldn't even be looking at those players if he was at Liverpool or Tottenham.
By the time Rafa left he was just asking to be allowed to spend any transfer money as he wished ... that was it and he was happy to stay on.
Now, when you consider that s since he left Bruce has spent £100 million then it all starts to look incredibly ridiculous.
Rafa could have used some of that on transfers and some to start small improvements on the infrastructure no problem.

Tried to find the story online but can't seem to find it. Maybe I dreamed it
Point being, special players should have special rules and good managers know that. Whereas Bruce on Ben Arfa: "I hope Hatem takes in what I've had to say to him because his talent is there for all to see. But talent without hard work means you won't live up to your potential. Unfortunately, to play for me you have to know you are playing for the team." It isn't much of a leap to suggest that even prime Ginola wouldn't have got much of a game under Bruce.
Ben Afra didn't tear-arse round clattering blokes but he wasn't lazy either. He closed people down better than Ginola and Robert combined. I reckon he probably was an arsehole to work with generally but that's where man management comes in and where Pardew and Bruce were found lacking.
I still hate Pardew more than Bruce. Bruce is more a buffoon, a bit like Frank Spencer or Chief Wiggum, whereas Pardew is truly evil, like Josef Stalin or Mark Lawrenson.
The last line made me laugh so much man. Thanks

Yeah, pretty much it really.
Just no need. Middle of the pitch and not under threat. Terrible decision making.
