  1. He was widely ridiculed, not just on here mind, in football in general.

TBF I think he has made an effort to say more normal things.

Always thought it was strange. Especially as it came after he came so close to winning the league with Liverpool, where they played some fantastic football with Suarez, Sterling, Sturridge and Coutinho.

  2. Brendan Rodgers is so impressive man.

Amazing how many thought he was a joke on here.

    Who thought that?

    Look it up.

Where? You must have a fair idea so help me out.

    Just use the search button.

Recall him being called David Brent and the like on here.

  3. One thing this controversy has done is it will mask how rubbish we were for the whole game. The focus in the media will very much be on the incident, rather than how rotten a side we are.

I see what you mean, but perhaps not.

I think a big part of the uproar has been down to how terrible we were, which made the whole thing even more farcical.

  4. I vaguely remember him having a good game v City on the right but then never again afterwards. Mental that he keeps being put in that situation.

    It's just awful.

Considering how deep we sit, him getting on the ball and pelting forward would be quite useful, but he has to be on the left to do that, as the space is always going to be out wide for that.

  5. It was a crap performance mostly and very jammy but why wouldn’t you be more pleased with the draw than defeat? It was (tightly or wrongly) in the rules. Because Bruce is lucky and going to get praised again foolishly? I mean yeah that’s annoying but why care too much about that? ?

This is like paying for a prostitute and acting as though you actually conquered a woman. The result is the result, but this was given and not earned.

That’s a cracking analogy but doesn’t explain why a defeat is more pleasing. I’m not ecstatic at all but I’ll take the point as whoever is our manager, I don’t want us relegated.

My hope is that doing badly enough means we have to change manager before it's too late and we manage to stumble on someone even half decent. Hard to imagine anyone worse than Bruce. Although, knowing Ashley he'd probably manage it.

  6. So ineffective on the right as he is very left footed, and it means he cannot break forward and run with the ball when he gets it, which is one of his greatest strengths. Instead he always has to come inside, where all the traffic is.

And still the manager has not recognised this. How? Every single thing Bruce manages to get wrong. All the time.

Because the manager is terrible and at this point almost anyone else would be better. He shouldn't be in the job.

  8. the state of ashley at the end, man.

bet the fucker goes in and congratulates Brewcy and the lads.

    Definitely.

He has no idea of what constitutes a decent performance.

Just looks at the result and can't wait to go and wind up his mate Levy.

Great situation for Bruce to continue to rob a living as long as we get the odd result.
