Why would the selling club sell at a reduce fee without looking into other suitors?  Especially since he's done well for us.  Will likely not be sorted until the next transfer window at the earliest, still might get him cheaper.

Yes, I meant we would get him cheaper, and not necessarily right now but perhaps come the summer.

Other suitors may well have been interested, but they're more likely to be turned off by the injury.

However, we'll be more likely to want to keep him as he has done so well and we're already familiar with him, and I am pretty certain he'll want to stay with us too.

Wouldn't say we were lucky, we defended really well, they didn't really have any clear cut chances, and couldn't break us down, and for the majority of the game I thought it was just going out to be a bore draw.

 

Yeah we didn't attack much if at all, but we took our chance, they didnt. Its the sort of performance that if it was Rafa people would be saying it was a game plan and we executed well. However as it's Bruce it's lucky.

It is extraordinary and quite nightmarish that we are currently morphing Joelinton into the very worst of Shola Ameobi.

Joelinton's won a fair few tbh, he's having a good game so far considering the scraps he's working with. I think we've done ok so far tbh.

 

Joelinton never gets to fin a rhythm in any game as he hardly ever gets touches on the ball in any space without someone snapping at his heels. It's laughable really.

 

Playing upfront for this team is the most thankless job anyone in this league could have currently.

You could use your midfield if they were not so deep  or meaningful balls to your wingers then again it’s Bruce.

It's been 23 games ... Bruce clearly has no idea of how to make any of that happen.

Referee has been a disgrace. Couple of pushes on Joelinton not given, the foul on Almirón when he would have been through, Hayden was fouled which gave Chelsea their first chance, the freekick he gave to us then never gave, them the freekick he did give but pulled back even though Ritchie has stopped the ball before playing it.

Chelsea’s freekick on the edge of the box wasn’t a freekick either.

We deserve nothing whatsoever.
