  1. Joelinton showing some of his ability those last two possessions. Shame we're going to end up ruining the guy.

You talk as if he's world class.

He's clearly not, but any iota of ability, which he still flashes now and then will be completely obliterated.

How you got world class from me saying he showed some ability is extraordinary to me by the way.

Well clearly, just he hasn't shown much in his career so far to suggest there's that much to be ruined.

So in your opinion he is a nothing player with no ability at all? And therefore can't be ruined?

Interesting take. Completely over the top IMO, but to be expected.

Stop putting words in peoples mouths you goon.

You're getting excited by him showing some apparently good touches (where he lost the ball both times). Easily pleased much?

Says the guy that asserted I was implying he's world class.

You don't like him we get it, but you're the one clearly over reacting to a nothing comment.

You're being ridiculous. This is so weird man.

Weird is getting so excited by the lack of promise he's shown so far but I guess we'll just have to disagree on this.

Saying he showed some ability does not qualify as getting excited!

You are completely wrong about everything to do with this.

Just take it easy and have a nice day.

  5. Emery is not a poor manager, he’s done relatively well for Arsenal but the fans had it in for him from day 1 and his style was never going to win them over.

What is his style exactly? If he's supposed to be more canny defensively than Arsene, you wouldn't think it watching them.

He has to build his own team I think, and it would be more of a hardworking side.

No idea what he was thinking taking over at both PSG and Arsenal. Both filled with flair and attack minded players. Crazy.

Maybe he should have brought in players who were more suited to the style he wanted to play then? Or is it that like us, the manager has to work with the players he's given?

Honestly, watching Arsenal I could never tell that they were trying to play a more defensive game than previously. He seemed to have very little impact on that squad.

Something seems off with their recruitment. Buying Pepe when they had no defenders was incredible to me.

Think Emery is a bit weird in a way too, because Torreira was a big hit last season and added a lot of grit and determination while still having quality, and he stopped using him.

  7. He's trying very hard as that is his nature, but I swear it's working against him when mixed with his desperation to score.

The coaching staff (lol) should be imploring him to calm down and keep things simpler and not go raging around so much. I highly doubt they will be telling him this though. They haven't even had the sense to have him switch sides not even once yet, and not even for a few minutes during any game.

  8. He was left isolated again. ASM and Almirón play too wide to support him. He needs support from more central positions.

Shelvey just lumping the ball forward for him won’t do much when he has 2 CB’s and a CDM around him. He actually came to collect the ball from deep a few times, especially in the 2nd half. He does have that about him, but still lacks the support he needs afterwards. His shot in the first half summed up how the lack of support does not help him. He held the ball up for ages, managed to get past 3 defenders, and still had no one helping him.

Such an important point you made here. It's why he's so much  more islolated than Rondon was in the same setup.

Under Rafa the width came from the wingbacks, while the Perez and Almiron played more as supporting attacking midfielders, as they were more tucked in.

Someone tell that muppet Bruce please.

  9. At this point he is now on his way to dying a slow death football wise. Not sure he can recover. We'll never know if he could have been any good due to Bruce.

Apart from Saint -Maximin who is a very talented individual player, no one even looks any kind of useful going forward.
