With this nearly completed, I'm intrigued to see who makes a bigger contribution to survival for their respective clubs out of him and Strurridge.
I would say this, but I reckon Slimani is the man.
I don't know. If Sturridge stays fit he'll be very dangerous for them. Hopefully Pardew can work his magic within 4 games and turn him into an absolute turd.
Do you remember Hodgson's England team in the Euros?
When he ended up chucking on Vardy and Sturridge to join Kane on the pitch, because they weren't doing anything upfront? And it just ended up worse, with the team looking completely out of sorts?
Expect Pardew to end up doing the same. He is incapable of putting together a functioning midfield that creates any kind of good play to produce opportunities for his strikers.
He will end up forcing Rondon, Jay Rodriguez and Sturridge on the pitch at the same time.
It will end up an incohesive mess.

We lose out on players to f***ing West Brom. My God.
My goodness
How was your coma buddy?

The swelling in that right thigh though

It's all worked out man. Slimani was Rafa's original choice anyway. Blessing in disguise.
I for one am quite relieved we won't have to witness that silly dance even a couple of times, before he gets injured.
-
Marcos Llorente and Merino... very young pairing, but I would love to see that. Shelvey and Hayden would well have their noses out of joint though.
If Llorente comes in then it would probably mean someone else leaving. Might be where all the Merino transfer talk was coming from.
Ummm ... no.
We already lost Saivet and so it will be a fill in for him.
-
Rafa always rotates the midfield, so everyone will play really.
-
Having .com said 1 more to come?
Just noticed that. Strange
I'm going to guess Llorente from Real Madrid, as Saivet and possibly Colback have left?
-
In his press confrence and all for the past week or so Rafa has constantly kept repeating "we still have time"
Kinda feel like he knew more than he was letting on and this was always gonna happen
It's all worked out for him in the end, which is great, but ultimately he likes doing his work early and I don't think he was looking to wait until this late.
Due to the amount of interest in Slimani, and Leicester apparently wanting a permanent deal for him earlier in the window, we were not going to get him in any earlier.
We are very very very fortunate really.

Really happy for Rafa. Think this was the striker he wanted from the start, and he really wanted Kenedy also, so great for him.
Love the confidence Slimani takes his chances with, and is fantastic with headers. Great compilation of all of his Leicester goals on YouTube.
Just thinking of the stream of headers Gayle has missed recently man ... hope this guy can get on the pitch for us quickly.
Proper goal scorer.

Giroud to Chelsea is possibly the best signing of the transfer window. Hopefully it comes back to bite Wenger in the arse.
Quality player and God knows why he's been sat on Arsenal's bench this season.
Think Batshuayi is quality. No idea why Conté was so eager to get rid.
Also, considering Arsenal's style of play I think Aubameyang is a far better striker for them than Giroud.
Chelsea do a far better job of getting crosses in and so Giroud should do well there though.
Think everyone should end up happy, really.

Slimani & Schurrle and that will rescue the season. Go all out for both or face a 3rd relegation.
Why do this to yourself?
Dude log off and be miserable by yourself
Why come on to moan about people discussing transfers
Go away man.
-
Absolutely no way will Slimani end up here, not a chance.
Sounds like you're desperate for that to be the case.
-
Honestly lads, just save yourself the hassle. Close this thread. Go and do something else. Nothing happening.
So cringe man
What are you doing on here then?
You go do something else. We'll be just fine. Thanks for your concern.
It dawned on me after I hit "post" that I appear as desperate as the rest of you.
I know. Come on man!
Might as well just all suffer through it together

Solid move for Rolando Aarons.
Really needs to be playing regularly somewhere so we know what we have with that guy.
-
Everyone in the media is just piling on I think.
Pretty certain it was left wing back, striker and goalkeeper Rafa wanted this window.
-
Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye is being considered as a late striker option for Newcastle, though there are doubts over whether the Ghanaian would receive a work permit, with the Magpies quoted £4m for the forward according to sources in Serbia.
Ready to break the transfer record, to a failed loan bid for a player who chose West Brom, to a bloke called Richmond in Serbia
Please lets stay with what we have if this guy is the last option.
Watched a few videos when he was mentioned earlier int he window, and he looks absolutely shocking!
Check out his whoscored profile too if you want a good laugh. Goodness me.
-
Nah, as soon as the window shuts and he hasn't got what he wants he should walk immediately.
The whole thing needs to come crashing down at this point. it's just been years and years of treading water. It's disgusting.

Get his fat goofy ass out of here!
Sick of everything now. Get the closing down sale signs up, and sell, sell, sell!
-
There has literally been nothing today, not one link, not one half arsed rumors, nothing. What a f***ing joke.
My friend please allow me to cheer you up.

Club preparing things for mark Hughes' arrival.

What a time to be alive ...
-
Can you imagine the kind of people that would still be going to the games with Wise in the dug out?!
-
What would be the point of that.
Marcos Llorente at Real who is also a DM and not Llorente at Spurs.
This can only be happening because the injury is not going to allow Merino to get back to full performance anytime soon, and Rafa isn't happy with the options we currently have.
Who knows at this point ... we're just such a disgusting club.

Fantastic strengths and style of play.
Likes to tackle indicates his effort in closing down, which is so important for us.
Please God let this man stay fit the rest of the way now.
