England need to play someone that can receive the ball and play passes into the front four from central midfield. That Henderson and Dier combo is not good for that at all. Say what you want about Shelvey but he is probably the best option, otherwise Barkley is played in there.
England has a lot of ability and options in those front four positions. The issue is going to be getting them the ball consistently. Don't like the Dier and Henderson pairing in regards to that. Hodgson is going to screw things up this summer man. Team has so much potential. Would be a damned shame.

And Abeid.

Algeria have some talent. Yikes.
That Sporting striker, Mahrez and Behrami. Geez!
Behrami is Swiss. assuming you are talking about Brahimi.
Yes, Brahimi is who I meant. Feghouli as well who I left out!

Are the people sticking up for him on Facebook mostly women?
Quite a lot of women with children which makes complete sense.
Are the people sticking up for him on Facebook mostly women?
Of course! Young women who I went to school with saying it's a disgrace and calling her a slag... Funny that, they were exactly the same at that age.
Women hate each other so much. It's incredible.

This is just going to make it easier for that moron Colback to come straight back in.

For goodness sake ...

This guy is unbelievable. What a f***ing disaster we made of the guys time here. f***ing disgraceful.
This guy is on a free this summer man. Lord have mercy. Wonder who will be lucky enough to get him.
Watch him end up somewhere like Leicester, and them then getting to enjoy both he and Mahrez take the p*ss out of the universe, while we watching longingly from the Championship with the recently fired Pardew as our new manager.
-
Then missing an open goal header against Villa...
Ah, yes! But he was in the right position for it right!
-
I really don't get this 'poor on the ball' thing, looks fairly comfortable to me.
It's bizarre.

Problem is we have lack of aerial threat rather than simply the delivery. People like Sissoko for example who are 6ft3 and s**** in the air
Another reason we should start De Jong. He's good in the air I think. Remember him scoring a sweet header against Man City in the champions League.
-
I'm surprised at how quickly it turned to s*** for him at Palace. This is exactly like his time here, just happening in a shorter period of time. Would be funny as f*** if they're relegated this season after the start they had. No wins in 2016 ffs
The fact he had so little say in things at Newcastle actually made him perform better at times.
That year we came fifth our team was so talented man. I would argue a better manager gets us in the champions league that year, and maybe even has us do a Leicester.
Imagine how crap we would have been if he was allowed to sign the Darren Bents, Steve Sidwells and Stephen Irelands! Crystal Palace has actually given him that power!

We better stay up. Looks like Rafa will be appointed to the board if we do, and he will definitely be strong enough to have an influence. McClaren was just a wet blanket that couldn't get anything done.
If Rafa keeps us up and stays and the summer recruitment etc is a disaster, and Rafa leaves, then everyone can turn against the club and revel in it burning to the ground.

Taken over from Cabella as the king of the stepovers.
He's as poor as I thought he was going to be.
So unbelievably ridiculous
Classic case of having an initial view on the player and holding onto it till death. Even in the face of evidence to the contrary.
I pity you.

Yeah, he should be in the team now I wish there was a way to fit De Jong, Cisse and Mitrovic in the same line-up.
Tough without sacrificing all width. Three at the back with Townsend and Sissoko going up and down the wings and covering the FB positions?
Mitro Cisse
De Jong
Townsend Sissoko
Saivet Shelvey
Colo Lascelles Fistpumps
Taylor ahead of Mbemba is an unforgivable mistake.
-
We were much better once he came on, needs to start the next game imo.
He's too slow; you can't have him and Mitrovic start together IMO: both are slow as anything sadly
This used to be my concern, but as long as we have pace on both wings and encourage those players to get in behind when possible, I think it will be fine.
At the moment we aren't able to build play through the middle because we have no presence in that position. That is a far bigger worry than the pace one IMO.
-
Rashford's movement is class. Serious talent that kid.
-
De Jong is our one and only option playing off that front man. Nothing else has worked there all season. A big reason why we never seem to be able to get more dangerous chances and score more goals. People keep losing possession in that area.
-
He is not good enough at the moment, but people tend to forget his age. Can't think many target men who are already at their best at 22. He is going to get a lot better and he just needs someone to challenge him for the strikers place. Maybe Cisse being fit again changes this.
Give your head a shake man for f***s sake and stop making excuses for this heap of s*** regarding his age. Just look at Lukaku who's only a year older and light years ahead
He's not a premier league striker in a million years. To be honest I'd give passion and take my shirt off and run around if I scored against them, doesn't detract from the point I'd be s**** for 99% of the game
Entitled to your opinion of course, but t comparing him to Lukaku is laughable
Lukaku is a very special talent. Not many like him around at all at that age.

Why doesn't the prem use golf carts?

Love Dimichelis and Mangala. Proper comedy act.

Think it's time for him to start ahead of Perez, like.
based on what?! The only way he should be in the team is with someone like Perez linking up with him. Plus Perez has actually scored 5 goals for us this season and needs the confidence to keep playing from a new manager. De Jong has done f*** all for us this season.
Based on the fact he's better. Perez should be used as an impact sub against tired legs.
Totally agree.

Really wound me up when people used to argue this guy was decent. Happy it's been made clearer how awful he is.

Yeah, I think Welbeck is quality. Good option with Sterling out.
