Got to be someone we can bring in at left back on loan.
Really don't want to see that 3-5-2 again anytime soon.
-
Yeah, hope we have another left back loan option.
-
He will be Gini or Sissoko's replacement next summer folks.
-
Pulls didn't play Gnabry at all, so no idea why they are loaning these types.
-
Every window there is the one big will he or won't he drama on the last day. Looks like we're involved this time.
Sky probably pay each club a fee for it and all.
-
Orban gone to Levante, too.
Oh for goodness sake ...

Not having the comparison to Cisse physically at all. You will be proved wrong.
Far more pacy, athletic and strong. He is a good signing and we will all see it for ourselves soon enough.
I think he has declined a lot. Have you seen him for Roma? He played like he's afraid to over-stretch. Much like Duff and Owen were for us.
Still, can't say I'd be unhappy if we signed him on loan. He's an experienced goal scorer after all. Hopefully, he'll take the chance to restart his career here.
No idea what Roma were playing at, but I'm not too concerned about that period. Italian league is so different, as it is much more defensive and there isn't the kind of space he would have been used to. Doesn't seem they gave him much game time to adjust either.
I like that he went back to CSKA and picked up right where he left off, and continued banging them in, in the champion's league, and did so consistently against top prem teams.

Thanks for that. Love their descriptions of his strengths and playing style.
Every single thing highlighted are things we need and will help us massively.

Can someone pull up his whoscored.com breakdown. Gives a good description of him. Can't manage it from my tablet at the minute.

What the hell are Stoke playing at man?!
Goodness sake ...

Iheanacho hattrick. Gonna be class
I hope not. Imagine Kaka man.

Oh lord
Calm down guys
His emergence has been expected after his success for the Nigeria youth team. Really happy for the kid. Nice that Pellegrini has given hi opportunities this season.
Got a lot of quality youth coming through at the minute. Arsenal have signed a couple this January even.

Hang on ... We were linked with a Valencia left back too right? Maybe with Siquiera going there now that would work?
-
Gary Neville man ... what a complete and utter scumbag.

youtubed Doumbia......not impressed..
Not sure I would pin my hopes on him getting goals to keep us up.
Not going to pretend that he will definitely score the goals we need. However, He will certainly make us a much more dangerous team going forward with his speed and dribbling. We will have defences more stretched and opened up with him in the team.
Having said that I do personally think he'll score also, for what it's worth.

Really good game this.

Worth checking out Doumbia's Champion's League record the last 4 years, particularly against prem teams. Very good signs there.
-
Is Doumbia any good? Before I start getting annoyed at our seeming panic.
Like all Africans, he's rather inconsistent.
-
Derby County vs Man U on BBC 1 now.
Looking forward to see how Tom Ince performs, and of course would be fun if Man U tank again.

I think we have massively pressed the panic button
Looks like we are getting in some decent players though, so fine with me. Press away!

Getting grief on Twitter for not knowing who Doumbia is
Like many Newcastle fans knew his name at 9am this morning
Most FIFA fans will know him I imagine. He's a nightmare on there
I tend to follow the top African players in general, being from Nigeria. Otherwise, yeah, it would be surprising that people know him that well.
Though they might do from Champions League games also, as he has featured there a lot with CSKA.

Douglas has had confirmation we have made a loan bid for Doumbia (on the Chronicle blog). WOAT?
Fantastic. Hope we can get him.
Remy is apparently injured and West Brom are not going to let us have Berahino.
Doumbia is really experienced and brings similar attributes to those two. His goal scoring record on the whole is really great too.
Saido Berahino stays at West Brom
