He recently joined Guingamp on loan. Not sure where joeyt has seen that.

Yup. It's really annoying.
Was there any talk of a retrospective ban on Huth for that elbow on Kozack?
Because that was far more of an 'incident'!
-
1. Had the guts to take the penalty.
2. Got it on target.
Good enough for me!
-
I was so sure they were going to find a way to ruin that result for us by banning the guy. Thanks goodness that's not the case.

Berahino is a legit talent man. He's so good. He's the stiker Liverpool should have signed instead of Benteke. Can't believe they're not in for him even now. We'd do very well if we sign him.
When Fat Sam started at Sunderland he had Defoe rooted to the bench because he still didn't want a small striker up front (he's since wised up the oaf), same as he did with Martins at Newcastle, by playing him wide, which was ridiculous. Pulis is of the same breed. The thought of a smaller striker upfront gives him nightmares. Pardew is another of this ilk. No reason Dwight Gayle shouldn't be upfront for Palace, he's by far their best finisher. As a matter of fact I'd be happy with getting Gayle, really like him, but just not sure if he can play wide like Berahino can.
Just seen the link to Matt Philips as an alternative to Townsend. That would be a very decent fallback. He's got a bit of Sissoko about him in how he runs with power and pace. Would be nice having that either side.

Naismith to Norwich, £8.5m.
My goodness. Great business for Everton. That's a bit much for Naismith.
-
Wijnaldum and Sissoko waxing lyrical about him already. They both seem very excited about his ability to get the ball to them in forward positions. Nice.
-
Apparently they are looking to change a lot of things this window.
Trying to bring back De Guzman to replace Shelvey, and Sinclair from Villa back also.
-
So many chances originated from his initial good play in holding the ball up or linking play superbly.
I hope we haven't started taking such things for granted. It's quite easy to forget how awful we were at playing off the front man with Cisse in there.
He deserves a run to get out of his slump.
-
That Daily Mail says Swansea have made Montero available for £10 million?!
I'd have him on the left for that price. Compares favourably to what is being mentioned for Townsend.
-
That baby-crawl ball control is the last straw. f*** off.
He's so creepy
What the hell was that!
-
Honestly he's killing me, such a frustrating player, seems like he's got everything and nothing at the same time
It's so mad
I do love him though. If we were a proper functioning team with threats in a lot of other areas it would be more bearable. Because we rely on him to do so much it's more painful. Shelvey will be a big help.

Manager reatcion
Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew on the performance of goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey: "Wayne is going to have to show me this week in training. A mistake at Villa, he needed to respond today and made another mistake. The ball is in his court to keep out the other two goalkeepers but I need to see it in training, I need to see a reaction from him. I will give him that chance because he deserves it."
Ha ha ha ... here we go.
Didn't big up the players when they were going well, and now it's turning he's flinging them under the bus.
Have to love how predictable the guy is.
-
Huge save from Fellaini last game too. Kudos to the guy man. He's been really solid.
-
He'll frustrate but he looks a very natural footballer. That pass will get real attention but it was how easy he made some more subtle moves that really impressed me. Couldn't care if he's erratic as f***, I'm happy to have a risk taker there.
Completely agree. We need to encourage him to really express himself. Shelvey said this is what McClaren laid out his role to be, so pretty exciting.
-
Swansea fans in knowing f*** all about anything that isn't rugby shocker.
Very harsh. Shelvey was clearly in a huff there and not performing. Their managers didn't utilise him properly though, which led to the issues. Sucks for them tbh. I have some sympathy.
-
Swansea used him in a more defensive role, which curtailed him some. Seemed to relish the freedom to dictate going forward. Seems the best way to get the most out of him.
-
I thought that he looked steady, nothing flash and no risks taken so all in all, a good enough start.
same, got a couple of good interceptions, and seemed to take up good positions as well.
He definitely seemed more of a holding player looking to take up intelligent defensive positions rather than diving in and leaving gaps. That I really liked a lot.
-
Being harsh as f*** here, but he got out muscled on the ball a couple of times. But like has been said, we were under a lot of pressure at the time.
I noticed one of those. That would be something we hope doesn't stick. Need some strength in there for sure.
-
Oh, I'm not saying get rid or that he's a bad player or that he had a bad game. It's just pretty clear that how alien Prem footy is to him. And that makes the lack of understanding with his team mates more of an issue. Something only time will fix.
Um ... He's been here a few days and only played less than a half. Reading a lot into that showing I think.
-
Absolutely love this guy. His record shows he can finish so just a matter of time.
The weight of having to score because we are so far down the table has got to him a bit.
Keep him in there and the goals will come, especially if we continue creating more chances with Shelvey now in there.
-
Happy we didn't pay after Mitro didn't manage to score. Should make him feel better at least.
The guy is class though. Such a presence man, and gets in great areas. He will score goals. Need to keep him in the team with Shelvey now getting us playing better in forward areas, and creating more chances.
-
Good win. But we seriously need to start putting games to bed. We are so fragile it laughable really.
This result will help. We're just so used to let downs that the panic sets in. The manner of their goal didn't help either!
