ah, what a guy. Those quotes are the antidote to last night’s disappointment.

    Absolutely beautiful timing. Just magnificent.

  2. It's hard to believe how delusional and clueless some football fans are.

I stumbled on a ridiculous Man Utd podcast yesterday, where they were arguing about going after Isak instead of Toney, and that the £70 million they would spend on Toney should be instead used to go after Isak, who would join them because they are a bigger club.

I was completely dumbfounded. These are the same people that were mocking when we signed him by the way.

    My goodness.

This is it. For all his limitations, over the years I think he’s been a solid enough defender, but when you haven’t played for so long, it’s not surprising when a mistake like that happens.

It wasn't really a mistake though.

He's dragging down a dwarf at the neck, with the ball well out of reach from a hopeful cross into the box. It was just so incredibly irresponsible.

Made a point of watching Pickford tonight and if it wasn't for the obvious connections, I'd have him in a flash.

He's quick off his line, can read things developing early so is already in a great starting position, good kicker, very good shot-stopper, and he never shuts the fuck up organising his defence and to his bench when he sees things that aren't right. Probably the best of the rest outside of the City & Liverpool Brazilians. Obviously he's not perfect but he's excellent.

He's really the reason we didn't get the win tonight. He was so frustratingly good.

    Can’t blame him for tonight.

If his hard on for Longstaff persists into next season I’ll be disappointed.

If he had a hard on for Longstaff, he wouldn't have gone for Tonali, to essentially relegate Longstaff to at most 5th choice at CM.

Tonali being a degenerate and Willock having that long term injury, thrust Sean right back into a starring role, unfortunately.

Very true. His mentality completely goes against what Howe is trying to do. Baffling he starts every game when we have Willock and Anderson back.

He's just too unsure of himself anytime the ball is near him. It's tragic.

Puts in a lot of effort and commitment, but at this point it's just not enough to mitigate what he provides when we are in possession. He was okay last season in this area, but has completely plummeted since then.

We played well first half, not as good in the second but created enough to win comfortably. Dummett coming on instead of Murphy to see it out bothers me. aswell as naming two keepers on the bench alfie harrison should of been giving the space on the bench instead.

Dummet was part of a side that shut out Man City earlier this season in a win, and has a ton of experience.

He should be coming in and seeing out the result comfortably. He's an idiot.

Alex Murphy has hardly played at this level. No manager in football puts him in ahead of Dummet to see out that game.

You can get away with that penalty if it was a shirt pull IMO, but literal headlock, is a slam dunk.

Young wasn't even a threat to get anywhere near that. It's clown behaviour from Dummet.

I don't know how you don't just grab that man by the throat in the dressing room.

It's nice to see your angry side [emoji38]

My pick would be Dummett though. Jesus wept.

At various points Longstaff, Krafth and of course Dummet made me want to break stuff.

Imagine coming on and not being able to help see the game out with all that experience. Instead doing something so daft and needless. Not dragging down a Tarkowski or DCL, but that shrimp Young for goodness sake.

    So painful man.

Funny. Burn is actually good at centre back, almost like that’s his fucking position. Granted it’s against DCL, but still.

Kept us in the league playing alongside Schar there.

Only really moved to left back because Targett couldn't stay fit and Botman was ready to come in.
