Im not a hater of PSR in general and think things could be quite grim without it but it feels like we’ve crossed the Rubicon of allowing teams to circumvent it.

THB is a bit of weird one, captain of the u21s but seemingly little hype even with his England call up. £19m is peanuts for a young England international, is he just not very good?

It’s clear we want game ready players and that means going after players that teams don’t want to sell (or at least want full value for) and that will always end in a saga of sorts for the most part.
 

We aren’t Liverpool, Chelsea etc where we can overpay and bully with our PSR headroom and the margins for a signing not working precludes us from too many unknowns at cheap price like Brighton or similar to after. 

Shame Carsley couldn’t cope with the press attention (can’t blame him to be honest). Think he’d have done well longer term with England.
