  1. The last time I sat very close to the posh seats was against Blackburn in 03-04 (0-1, horrible performance from start to finish). I spent 5 minutes eye-balling Shepherd at half-time until he acknowledged my anger with a nod. 3 days later he gave the famous 'rolls royce performances' interview.
  2. Harper is clearly a better prospect than Krul man, in the short term
  3. Drogba. that's complete nonsense tbh. Drogba could easily play alongside another striker, he just doesn't need one because of his ridiculous physical attributes
  4. going to book 2 tickets in the Milburn, I hope Llambias attends
  5. I didn't think he looked committed all season to be honest. Not compared to how he'd looked in the two preceeding seasons anyway. You're certainly not the only one who thinks this. The fact is, before his injury he'd managed 6 goals in 12 games. If that represents a lack of effort it also represents some f***ing ability, especially in our team All season? before his injury I said Yeah I know, but was that all he managed before his injury? Which injury are we talking, the one he picked up at pompey? aye
  6. I miss watching football so i'll be going to the game tomorrow most likely, probably my last in a while at SJP
  7. Am I right that in thinking that a fair few of those games he played on the wing? And he didn't start all of those either? Not that i'm going to mount a serious arguement for you here, he wasn't playing particularly well at that time, for club or country. Things however did change beyond that last fixture somewhat.

Or regularly missing sitters at the close of this year, when it really mattered. He got injured in December mate. Before that he was scoring goals and playing well, there was no streak of not scoring Look at the season before he went 10 games without scoring. He weren't playing with an injury either. I was talking about last season though, not the season before. You were asking us all to rate him on his appearances before he was injured.. so the season before that should apply surely? He was fit and healthy and not producing then. no I wasn't to be honest, all I was talking about were the 12 games he played last season before getting injured against Pompey As for 2007-08, to say he wasn't producing is going a bit far to be honest. Unless you could give me an extended period during which he really wasn't pulling his weight

  10. I've just had the pleasure of viewing the Orient highlights for the first time, my f***ing word. The defence and goalkeeper in the second half look like they've been selected at random off the street. How do we manage to produce such talentless garbage?
  11. Looks like the away games will be the only ones i'll attend until the club gets sold

    RIP sale thread.

to be honest, the whole big population = prosperous club notion is nonsense anyway. The area for which Leeds basically dominates is absolutely massive and look at them

What are we, the 20th largest city in Britain? Hardly one of the largest
  17. I am by no means saying that Martins is a brilliant footballer or that he didn't underperform badly in the final 2 months of the season. However, it baffles me that so few on this board aren't willing to acknowledge the fact that with his injury, he shouldn't really have been on the pitch under Shearer. The fact is, he played through the pain, played poorly and gets accused of a lack of effort, it's laughable.

    never took them seriously anyway
  19. What would most us do if we were promoted within our jobs to a position which we were unfamiliar with? I know what i'd do, I would act as if I were an experienced veteran and pick it up as I go along, eventually making a bloody good fist of it. Hughton has just lay down from day one man, he's a spineless w***** and deserves no sympathy.
  20. If this is the best Hughton can do he really should be ashamed of himself, it's one thing being tactically clueless, but showing no bollocks whatsoever like he's done makes me despise the man. The last thing this group of twats needs is a spineless tosser in charge, he needs to stand up and give them a slap, not come out with nonsense like 'Nicky Butt is a fabulous player' ffs
  21. i still get shudders at the mere mention of his name. when exactly did he leave? i always used to have visions of him returning jason voorhees style I reckon his last game was at Selhurst Park in the 4-2 we suffered to Kinnears Wimbledon team, who had Warren Barton playing for them.It was Ruel Fox's debut for us iirc.Could be wrong though... His last apperance was the 3-3 against Spurs during 94-95 when Pav got sent off and Klinsman played a blinder, till Hooper came on and basically looked like Schmeichal, saving a pen with his foot at the Leazes end! Pedro made it 3-3 late on
  22. i still get shudders at the mere mention of his name. when exactly did he leave? i always used to have visions of him returning jason voorhees style He was told to bugger off at the start of pre-season 95-96 for showing up well out of shape, contract terminated in 96 I think, good bloke, spoke to him for a long while a few years back
