Proper kicks can down the road to next summer, because they'll spend and be in same situation next summer.

Monchi going to be wheeling and dealing like mad, once again. Clubs should stay away from signing Villa players and let them get fucked (at least to the point they have to sell top players for below value due to being in a weak position). Sure they will end up peddling Bailey and Buendia to Saudi for like £70m between them though.

Flogging players to Saudi is no issue for them - guaranteed inflated income

Any news of any PL teams needing to scramble to sell tomorrow? I know there were vague whispers of Villa and West Ham earlier in the window but are they still needing to get rid of some?

Rumours Villa have sold their women’s team to themselves

But surely they have to do that before a said deadline?

There’s talk that they may have already sold all or part stake of the women’s team to themselves - but we won’t know until a few weeks time

I think we should sell Strawberry Place to ourselves for 100m

I think that gives you the option to buy a development player as the final centre mid. Maybe someone like Chukwuemeka (although he appears to be staying at Dortmund) that can fill in and hopefully

decelop into a solid option over the course of the season

Elliott Anderson would have done very nicely here

I like your suggestion - maybe someone attainable like a Lamine Camara or take a punt on youth like Hayden Hackney

I can understand the Jacob Ramsey rumours as he is similar to Anderson

Yeah, really hoping we can tie this one up.

Because of the option to play him in that 10 position behind the striker, it then also indirectly improves our midfield options.

And so if Willock and Longstaff are still here, and not at their best, we at least have a different setup to go with.

A 4-2-3-1 is very interesting as ideally you would want 1 more midfielder for rotation given volume of games

    In the 2

    Bruno

    Tonali

    (Big Joe)

    (Miley)

    Longstaff Willock sold

    10

Pedro (could do with 1,more who can also play CM)

    Wide

    Barnes

    Gordon

    Murohy

    Elanga

    CF

    Isak

    (J Pedro)

    (Osula)

If we got those 3 plus Scalvini - perfect.

Then I'd just like another midfielder, even on loan, and even if a Norgaard back up type.

I do think Longstaff's race has been run here. Willock too, so some fresh energy in the middle would be very needed.

I’d go for Douglas Luiz and take a punt on someone like Hayden Hackney - replace Longstaff and Willock

Be a first if we sign that Korean fella. The first time any club has signed a player that doesn't exist.

Yeah a classic case of Chinese Whispers

    100%. Would be absolutely perfect.

Him and Botman at the back? What dreams are made of.

He can play all 4 positions at the back and also as a DM - he’s an immense talent

Would Raphinia be realistic? Yes he’s old but would improve our RW immediately plus they have Yamal one wing and Nico Williams on the other

Zero chance - he’s was arguably the best player in La Liga - had the season of his life - gets paid a shed load of money and plays for a bigger club that’s in the conversation for trophies

Looks like the colours are reworking of the blue and gold 98/99 away kit (my first) rather than the reported navy blue, orange and green “sash” down the side from the season previous. But they’ve used the 97/98 badge mit shield. I love the colour of blue and the trefoil, just the collar is super big/wide. Would have preferred a round one. Noticed they used an xl size as usual which never looks get when just hung up in some warehouse.

Said it before in here - that 98/99 away top was criminally underrated - a thing of beauty

Good, all look promising and hopefully they get some good loan moves and first team football experince for next year.

Yep - loan moves are really critical - The 3 who have signed today are very promising which means we need to give them the best possible chance to make it eventually

I’d sell without blinking if we got offered anything over £15M.

He no longer offers the output we need - there’s a reason why he started only 8 times - he is way behind our starting 3 - we need our bench players to make contributions throughout the season

The more I think about it, the two Delap and Mbuemo really were perfect for us, at the price points mentioned. Mbuemo possibly too expensive wages wise but Delap at 30m was an amazing deal.

    any other relegated release clauses?

He will cost more than Delap but I actually think J Pedro is the better fit for us - covers 4 positions - Put price to one side, I would have J Pedro above Delap

Anyone know what happened with Nico Gonzalez since he went to Juve? Was really interested in him when we were linked and he was at Fiorentina, but it seems like he hasn't done well at Juve judging on the amount of appearances

His returns were very poor - a pure case of Juve being in crisis which filtered into the XI

Think they have bought him outright now
