It's unacceptable in your view because of your arrogance.
You think we have a right to get a result in these games just because we came 4th last season.
This isn't a video game. You can keep dismissing the injury situation all you want, but at the end of the day, most of this season we've ended up playing Bruno in midfield (the most impactful part of the pitch) with some combination from Longstaff, Anderson and Miley.
And you really think this is no big deal and 'tactics' can simply sort this out, so we can go to these away games and just beat these teams, because it's just that easy, and everyone else is doing it.
It's this kind of thinking that means I cannot take you guys that 'keep it real' seriously.
What’s wrong with saying 11 defeats in 18 is a poor return? It’s a fact - got nothing to do with us finishing 4th - in those 11 defeats, which matches can we say we were unlucky not to get anything? And yet at home we look a totally different team - EH has had the same tools home and away or is it just away from home where we suffer more with injuries?

It’s massively important we finish 7th now and hope Man Ciry can do us a favour so we have some form of football.
Then in the summer regroup and take a collective view of where we are and what we need to challenge for at least the top 6 next season
We have lost 11 out of 18 away games - that’s unacceptable in my view - yes you can point at injuries, but tactically we’ve been ordinary and at times been a soft touch

Perfect position, in lots of space, great angle to hit it low and across goal on his strong foot. And he just whacks it straight at Onana.
This is the one thing he needs to be able to do, as he typically strikes the ball pretty well. If he can't manage it then he has to be pushed way back in the midfield reckoning.
The falling over continues and the amazingly poor passes in great positions.
It's just too much man. Please no more.
Said earlier in the week - Maxence Caqueret -
Infuriates me even more that we came across a Man U that was clearly arsed just the majority of the crowd and we totally shit our pants

Thats on the coaches - they should see that and start fucking managing the players.
Tindall is the defence coach -
Losing to that Man U team was embarrassing - utterly unacceptable that
The standard of defending from us tonight was pathetic to a man - basic stuff
so so disappointed with the players - let us down
-
The defending cost us today - absolute school boy stuff at times - the goals conceded were truly shocking
Poor finishing too
-
Why even play this fucker

Kone and Caqueret are the profiles I like the most, press proof, comfortable getting the ball off the defenders with good distribution.
I wish we were linked with Merino.
Not sure why Kone hasn't been snapped up yet though, he in particular looks ideal.
I think Caqueret is a great shout and not someone who I think would command a massive fee given Lyons financial situation - £25m possibly? -

Prepare for disappointment
I don’t think it’s impossible if the right deals are out there -

1 forward
1 RW
1 CM
1 GK
and hopefully 2 frees will be our business this summer.
What profile of CM do most people think we need?CMs we been linked with
Y Fofana
M Caqueret
K Zenon
M Kone
Ederson
(Archie Gray - if Leeds don’t go up)
-
Effectively by doing all this Chelsea have cheated their way to Europe should they get there.

Going full FM mode but I’m hoping for something like:
Kelly (free)
Tosin (free)
One of Olise/MGW/Williams (£50m +-£10m)
Rowe (£20m and loaned back to Norwich for a year)
Valencia keeper (£50m)
Young backup striker with a lot of potential (£25m)
Total spend c£150m
Out:
Miggy
Targett
Dummett
Ritchie
Hendrick
Fraser
Hayden
Lewis
Karius
Dubravka
Wilson(?)
If we get anywhere close to £30m for the lot of them and all their wages off the books then it’s a dream scenario. Think we’ll end up subsidising a lot of their exits though.
KellyTosin
Dabast - £12m
MGW - £50m
Mbuemo - £35m
F Chiesa - £30m
Valencia keeper
Miggy and Wilson big departures
I can only dream….

Just watched some of the Valencia game, the Georgian keeper is quality. Brilliant for a one on one off his line and made a fantastic save from a massively deflected shot. Got named man of the match .
If I could compare him to anyone it’s probably Manuel Neuer - without being as over confident as Wor Manuel is - he’s a quality keeperThat RW position we have to address in the summer - good pros Murphy and Miggy - but they simply aren’t at the level of Isak and Gordon
Kelly and Tosin buy us a lot of wriggle room in the market

Maybe a youngster as well
Links to Zano Dabast this weekI think we will sign another young CB tbh - depends on European football imo

3 points against Brentford, or a draw on Wednesday and we're guaranteed at least some kind of Europe. Great position to be in.
(Unless there's like a 22 goal swing between us and Man U but that's not happening)
We need 6 points to be sure(unless Chelsea drop points)
-
Man U lose
NUFC win
Chelsea lose
If next 3 results go like this we finish 6th….? Would need a huge goal swing

With 777 seemingly falling apart, I wonder if PIF will eye a bargain or two and get the multi club ball rolling
Who do 777 own? -

I can't remember specifics but I can just remember being in the far sitting room with a tiny portable telly and watching with my dad. I can also remember the Sun doing a big spread of the two George's.
Interesting that they both ended up in the PL tooFinidi at Ipswich (they were in the UEFA Cup) and Donis at Blackburn (I think)

I remember watching that match. Must have just been 8, but Ajax vs Panathinaikos in 1996. George Finidi (or Finidi George) vs George Donis.
If I remember this correctly Ajax lost the home leg 1-0 but ripped them apart in the away leg -

Why is it a stumbling block?
Because your budget for the summer is gone in payment towards 1 player -

Not specifically us, but the same likely applies to us too.
You have to pay the release clause in full - another (major) stumbling block -

We are so injury-suspension-fucked, I am super nervous for this match.

Look I am not saying get rid of Howe and there’s reasons for why we haven’t been as strong this season, of course there is.
My stance has always been let’s learn from this season regardless - EH has effectively been on a seasons secondment where everything has been thrown at him - search deep into what hasn’t worked, what we need to improve on - box clever in the market with clever signings (Tosin/Kelly)
If it is to be the Europa Conference then I am more than happy with it - it’s a chance to win something
