As much of a basket case, as we were when Ashley was in charge. Was talk yesterday of Tuchel being approached to go back.
A guy that’s a total control freak - make it happen please -
Poch should go to Bayern

Could do with picking at least ONE fit left back
This - Trippier is useless at LB - not that great at RB recently eitherTino should have been picked instead

Anyone who’s seen that Mamardashvili play, what’s he like ?
He’s rather good - style similar to Buffon/Toldo

Tremendous false economy saving 20 million on a bloke who has the attention span of a pea, this Gio looks like he has cat like reflexes and real presence.
Cant underestimate the value of a top keeper well worth the investment.
Having a quality keeper is huge - even having Pope at the weekend felt groundbreaking - this guy is a class above -
Sign him - I hear he has a mate from Georgia that’s quite useful on the wing
-
Tosin - Kelly FREE
Dabast - Caqueret - Minteh as Young signings
GK - Olise - CF as big signings
Wilson/Miggy/Target/Dubravka/Ritchie/Dummett et al sold/released

I like the idea of strengthening the spine. Get a top class RW and strengthen the spine the best we can and it’s looking very good for next season. My gut feeling is that Eddie will be looking to sign a CM of some kind. I’d be surprised if we don’t despite being “stacked” in there. Getting another midfielder of some sorts doesn’t have to break the bank either to improve us over a whole season. Cannot underestimate the importance of a consistently strong quality central midfield to function properly overall over a season.
This 1000% (re the CM bit in particular) - we may be stacked but there’s a clear gap between the top 3 and the others - a fully fit Willock is good but the profile of midfielder we need is a ball playing type - we get one in and this team is looking far better -
If that’s the back, my money will be kept in my pocket

Just seen Arsenals winner wow that should 100% be have been given as a handball by Jesus pretty shocking decision in my opinion. Imagine if West Ham had comeback and drawn that decision would have won Arsenal the league.
The most hilarious thing is the ref got to see 2/3 takes of it on a screen and still couldn't see it -
From my rough calculations we have had 33 instances this season when only 1 of them has been available
Probably also been occasions when they have played not fully fit

Can somebody explain how it wasn't a pen for us today? The actual trip on Hall that caused him to fall was comfortably inside the box.
I’ve been a massive advocate of drug testing the VAR officials before and after - convinced the smoke crack during the game

We wouldn’t need Olise and Neto.
Rather get a CM who can play RW also
…. MGW?

Keep an eye on Rabiot. He’ll be talking to a number of clubs including us over the next few weeks. Another free although an expensive one.
His salary is way too high - rather get a younger CM -

I see Chelsea are buying another Brazilian lad for circa £50 million.
It’s literally beyond a joke what they are doing - having free reignI thought UEFA banned clubs for financial irregularities?

Why would you even consider signing Ramsdale when you can get Marmashvilli for a much better price, he’s better, younger and with a higher ceiling

Ideally don’t want Barkley but he is a game changer if we play him instead of one of the others if one of Bruno/Tonali/Joelinton can’t play.
Which is why I suggested him - 2 year dealI personally want Caqueret - he’ll cost circa 25m
But if money is tight then if you are to keep the status quo in midfield why not just add Barkley as your Ritchie replacement

I am really worried about this transfer window - as it's huge. I just sense am going to be disappointed as there are so many positions that need addressing and the club can't address them all.
I’d take Tosin - Kelly - Barkley (add Minteh) all on free transfers, gives us some flexibility in my view. Then you can drill down to GK - RW - CF as the priority positions - if we could squeeze in a young CB then great -
That’s poor keeping imo - like watching Dubravka this guy
-
We do all the above and we are in a pretty good position going into 2425

I have no confidence at all there’s going to be a ruthless revamp this summer.
I’m not sure what a massive revamp is tbhHave a load of deadwood (Dummett, Hayden, Ritchie etc that’s needs removing)
Minteh will have pre season with us
Likely Tosin and Kelly are free transfers
Highly likely Wilson - Miggy - Dubravka are off and need to be replaced
We may or may not cash in on Longstaff

This is the main thing for me.
I want to see what he can do with a more talented and well rounded squad before any talk of making a change.
He's shown a lot making use of some very ordinary players so far.
It's such a shame this FFP nonsense means we have to build so slowly.
Given that we are 2.5 years into a 5 year plan - I think we are probably par in terms of where we need to be - hopefully have a complete clear out of the deadwood in the summer (Dummett, Ritchie etc)I think we have to bear in mind, within this process we started with a much lower base than the current group within the top 8 - to achieve safety from being rock bottom, top 4 finish, joint best defence, a final, 2 QFs, massive goal returns and maybe the Conference is pretty decent if you ask me

Our midfield has absolutely not proven to be more than capable.
The story of the season has been Bruno having to carry the whole unit, while Gordon and Isak have had standout performances higher up the pitch to win us games.
Yep totally agree with this - the whole right side needs fixing in my view and that should in theory be our summer priority - whether it’s attainable or not I don’t know but a RCM, RW and CF (with Minteh) should be our business with the likes of Miggy and Wilson departing with one of Longstaff and Murphy (if not both at risk) - there’s no other way forward
