  1. Our manager. What a man
  2. This is it. Some of the responses here are grim, he's 23, I'm still a fucking idiot at 31 The club/Howe will support him, the fans should too. There's a cracking player in there and we can still come out of this thinking it was a great transfer in the end, there's plenty of time despite this annoying setback
  3. This is where I'm coming from, of course it's wrong and you shouldn't do it, but one is basically extra motivation for what you should be doing anyway and the result still depends on you doing your job, the other is giving you a massive conflict of interest and allows you to basically match fix.
  4. He was 6 during Calciopoli, but sure, technically more recent than 92/93 I agree with what you're saying above, the part I strongly disagree with is that betting to lose a game you're playing in is no better than betting to win a game you're playing in. Ideally you wouldn't do either of course, but there is a massive distinction between the 2
  5. Just the 7 or so years before old Sandro was born like Betting to lose a game you're meant to be trying to win is clearly much worse than betting to win a match you're meant to be trying to win. Forget the hypotheticals about the opposition throwing the match, there's absolutely nowt to suggest that has happened here
  6. That's such a leap though. Betting on an outcome you're already meant to be striving for doesn't mean he had knowledge that the opponent was going to throw the game
  7. Fundamentally not true, of course betting to lose a game he's playing in is a lot worse. Broadly agree with the rest of your post
  8. Brutal for the club and the player. Stupid thing he's supposedly done, but hope we support him. He's a young lad and I would hate to see his career or life spiral as a result of some stupid decisions in his early 20s
  9. I've been thinking for years this forum doesn't have enough articles about the logistics of moving. Glad someone's finally been brave enough to speak out
  10. Right? He's seemingly broken a (fairly puritanical) Italian law. What right do they have to ban him from football in another country on the back of that? what next, Salah caught speeding back in Egypt and they ban him for 6 months? Makes no sense
  11. Would make sense. If he's not broken any FIFA or UEFA laws surely at worst the Italian FA can only ban him from their national team
  12. Glad to see the club are reportedly going to back him all the way. Wouldn't have happened under Ashely, we'd be suing him
  13. Fantastic news if it ends up just being some slightly dodgy poker/blackjack. Hope he gets his name ringing out at the next home game, show we're behind him
  14. If he's been betting for or against his own team then that's obviously pretty dire and we'll need to cut ties with him. If he's been betting on football in general ala Toney and has fallen foul of what seems to be some fairly strict Italian laws, then hope the club gives him all the support he needs/it can. Be a massive shame if it ends like this having only seen glimpses of what he's capable of - not to mention the fact that he's so young, be gutting if he's chucking his career away on something like this.

Why are they playing The Darkness at fulltime? I mean that song is a banger and Justin Hawkins' YT channel is class, but why?

Has Trippier captained England before? When's the last time we had an England captain if not, Big Al?

    Captain Tripps is class
  18. One bright side to this is that I've seen the guy who broke these stories described as "like an evil Fabrizio Romano" at least 3 times and I think that's fucking hilarious. Anyway, regardless of the outcome I hope (and am fairly confident this will be the case) that the club does everything to support Tonali through this. He's one of us now - and when this is sorted my money (lol) is still on him being a huge asset. As someone said above, Tripps fell foul of this sort of thing at an older age and is now the epitome of a professional and leader.
  19. Honestly a bit gutted, don't even care if they qualify, it was just such a lovely hit
  20. McTom with the most ridiculous free kick goal to give the Scots the lead. Fair play.
  21. Hopefully this ends up being a big fuss about nothing, interviewed as possible witnesses or something. I'm clutching like fuck

Look at this loser - what a way to publicly prove you don't know ball

    Nick Pope

Not his best game but still wins us way more points than he costs us. Doesn't need replacing, though I'd be happy to get a young keeper in to give him competition and eventually take over.
