there was press about Cabaye before it happened iirc Really? I heard nothing until the end of the French season when he annouced it to his team-mates wasn't massively looking out for it though Cabaye was totally out of the blue. Just waited a short while for it to be offically confirmed.

Why? Whats changed since we signed Cabaye and the other two? They have fell out with Joey Barton? Think back to the summer when we were signing Cabaye, I remember there was an article in the French press which mentioned Barton calling him a thug amongst other things. I dont think Barton falling out with the club will affect any potential signings from abroad at all.

Be a shame if Ian W left, I think he makes a lot of good points. He is hammered by a lot of the 'Ashley is responsible for the current US cash crisis' group, but I think he's a good poster. I hope so, just wish we demanded a fee for him, easily worth £3m of anyones money. No one wanted him though, apparently no enquiries all summer. They want rid that badly that they are prepared to give him away.

You have to wonder, will this really upset the dressing room? Or will there be a good few players glad to see the back of him? I think its fairly clear to see that Joey goes on like a huffy little kid when he doesnt get his own way. These stories of him kicking off about the set peices and arguing with Cabaye just make me think. Remember Villa last year too when he had the armband - what a shambles he was. Then there was Fulham, I seem to remember him going nuts with Jose too. I wouldnt say this behaviour is leadership either. It just wouldnt suprise me if there could be a sigh of relief when he's gone from within.
