  1. thing is, at the moment things are bad, but i really think things could dramatically improve over the next few weeks. (i hope) Whereas under those other people you mentioned, it was just plain shite with no end in sight until they were inevitably sacked. im still hoping i can use the phrase, those who laugh last, laugh longest one day.
  2. if National rumours of you ebign found dead dont put the shits up you then i dont know what will
  3. Riquelme`s slow as fk but he`s not bad a player....... Yes he is
  4. You weren't around for Euro 96 then I take it. Ah yes Euro 96 Where we were at home and didn't have to qualify, drew with Switzerland in the first game, should have been level with Scotland until Gazza's wondergoal, beat a Dutch team in total disarray, beat Spain on penalties after they had a perfectly good goal disallowed in normal time, then went out to a poor German team missing Klinsmann and Sammer on penalties. But eh remember that Christmas tree formation? ah all those if's and but's eh?! Never mind we actually got to the semi's, its the fact we shouldnt have that counts isnt it.
  5. some of the things i read on here are beyond belief.
  6. Eh?, Ashley has about £2 billion, or had, and how much of that did he spend on us? Apart from paying off the stadium debt, which he was forced to do and added the same value to the club, he spent nowt, nothing on players. Lets say these Nigerians have only £500 million, if they then make £50 million of that available for transfers then are we worse off?, no. What we all should have learned from the whole Ashley saga is that it doesn't matter how much money you have if you're unwilling to invest it in the club, preferring instead to put £300 million on ludicrous share bets. Having said all that we're talking about a consortium of 4-5 Nigerian oil billionaires here, so I seriously doubt they have less money then Ashley. people are making silly judgments based on purley nothing. What reason doesn Toontown have for thinking they wont have as kmuch money as Ashley? Until they come in and put their money where their mouths are, will wont really know.
  7. it would be fucking stupid for people to have forced the board out for forcing KK out then if he came back and "not to forgive him". to be expected i supose though.
  8. souness dalgleish curbishley peter reid howard wilkinson etc etc etc al preferable to a 3rd cockney gangster is this a wind up?
  9. arolling monthly contract would be the only option acceptable. The new owners don't want to be sacking him if he's given a 2-3 year contract. agreed.
  10. What's wrong with 'Newcastle With Attitude'? Straight Outta Jesmond, what a song. Nigerians With Assests
  11. Same here. I'd rather have the 6th richest man in the world (who is supposedly a Newcastle fan - but you'd have to wonder why) than a consortium. A Consortium won't always agree with each other. we arent really in a position to be picky though. Lets just get someone in and get a gaffer in place. If thats KK so be it. He started the season ok and i dont think the new guys will make the same mistake as the old lot. And if the give him a few bob too spend as well, happy days.
  12. blody hell they sound serious and sound like they have a plan too (i know sounds familar). Lets just hope it gets done so we can move on)
  13. sounds like good progress if these fuckers can be believed. They are just like a televised newspaper afterall. But sounds promising.
  14. the next round is irrelevant, a win tonight would boost confidence massively and get rid of the cloud that is currently hanging over us. A decent performace would be a bonus. I dont know why so many people are fearing Spurs so much, they have been gash. Keep the faith.
  15. i just want a win for the confidence side of things, not bothered about silverware, just want a win so we can take some confidence into saturday. If we can get two home wins on the bounce, it will be huge. A big ask, but if we have a couple back, its more than do-able.
  16. on the contrary, i dont expect anything anymore. Unfortunately I think thats what a majority of fans are saying (myself included) but deep down, I strongly doubt thats what a majority of fans are actually thinking (myself included). nah, i dont expect, i hope.
  17. on the contrary, i dont expect anything anymore.
  18. well not fre,, but £10 adult and £5 for kids, im sure would get a cracking crowd. I just never understand why they dont do this? Without working it out, im sure the maths would add up unless im massivley wrong?
  19. i would if tickets werent £20 or are they £25? Either way.
  20. think we'll win, it wont be pretty, but i just fancy Oba to make himself a hero again. Then beat blackburn on Saturday, get some new owners in, a new gaffer, players back from injuries, happy days!
