However it seems your facts are correct whereas my assumptions aren't. However my point of English folk founding clubs all over the world is correct. We did take the game to the world.

Genoa was founded by English. Genoa is Genoa CFC . The first C stands for cricket. Founded by English. As I believe were Milan.

Eh? Im not implying English people discovered these cities. Those clubs all have the Flag of St George on their club badges.

Genoa, Milan, Barcelona just off the top of my head. There are more though.

We didn't own much land in say Argentina, Spain or Italy so it's more to do with missionaries . Though of course having such a vast Empire would be another way of transportation of the game.

Of course we invented it. And then transported it around the world. It's why you see clubs with English names in South America and clubs with English flags in their badges in Europe.

I fail to understand the logic behind this statement. Since the previous two are being held in Brazil and Russia then I imagine stupidly long distances between host cities won't be a problem. Also, I've just learned that Fox have US broadcast rights to the World Cup in Russia, not ABC/ESPN. Christ. Tbh, the Russia World Cup is all in Western Russia and Europe. None of it in Siberia or the Eastern coast. Though obviously this is for reasons other than pure distance. It isn't rocket science...all of the countries mentioned have hosted the tournament twice since we held our only one. Since football is our gift to the world , we really should have held it more than once.
  8. Flattered to deceive...he obviously was talented but never showed up on the big stage.

    Arsene Wenger

They'd have had more from 2005 - 2014, that's for sure. Wenger's a really good, not great, manager and often a pretty classless guy for the most part. Also can't help wondering what the general opinion of him would be had Henry gone somewhere else. For sure? [emoji3] Wenger reinvigorated Arsenal for the vast part of his first decade there. Since the Invincibles season, his sides , maybe mirroring the manager, don't seem to have the hunger. I've thought for a while he needs a change of scenery. He'd be great as our national manager imo.
  10. It's a shame the Brazilian legal system hasn't got involved and banned him from life.

USA shouldn't be getting the World Cup before England. Neither should have Germany nor Mexico. Criminal that the country that invented the game has hosted it once nigh on half a century ago.
  12. He is a fucking monster. Seems the English press have it right for a change.
  13. Shaw clearly one for the future and I reckon Evra will still be first choice. They might have been better off fucking Evra off and getting Ashley Cole for a year or two imo.
  14. Chiellini has come out and supported Suarez saying the ban is excessive and he feels for him and his family. So who knows, don't count your chickens yet...the appeal by Uruguay FA may prove successful in reducing the ban Just seen Maradona wearing a T-Shirt for Suarez' support on live TV. Well, that's all he needed. defense from the king of fair play and morality, Diego Armando Maradona. I swear Suarez is Walter White. Never seen someone so controversial and the ultimate hero/villain like that in my life-time. Every football player from any other country than England that have commented on Suarez has said it's excessive. It really is. 4months without being able to train? 4 months without being able to go into a football stadium? Are they getting interpol to put a tail on him? It's ridiculous. You want to ban him for 21matches, then do it, but don't be so ridiculous about it. It really isn't excessive. He's done the same thing 3 times ffs. Lucky they didn't give the cunt a year.
  15. Here's mine. They will make Europa League spots and may pinch 4th from you lot . Considering LVG is either a mind-blowing success or an abject failure (Based on his past work at different clubs, there seems to be no middle ground) , I reckon they'd either win the title, or finish outside of top 10. Think no valid predictions can be made until August 31st though. @Tooj, Apparently Van Gaal wants to try Rooney in a midfield 3 during pre-season. Froggy will tell us about Pirlo-isation of Rooney after a decent game vs. Roma in pre-season friendly They will not win the title.
  16. All of the glory hunters round this way have been slagging Moyes rotten yet ironically praising the two signings that Moyes wanted. Despite not having a clue who one of them was. Cockends.

  18. Cant remember Bob Wilson defecting to ITV . Some good commentators there. Moore and Davies. Top of the tree with Coleman.
  19. Ed Woodward. I meant it obviously isnt Van Gaal. What if he doesn't like these players?
  20. Wonder who is doing all of these signings for Manchester United?
  21. I think it should be 6 months minimum. Who are the hooligans in England btw? He forgets English clubs were banned ftom European football for 3 years because of hooliganism. Or maybe he didn't know. It was a long time ago[emoji106]
