Rumour has it that Sidwell and his agent have been to look around Goodison!!
-
"confidence in your manager" ie if he signs a player it is accepted that he is a good signing. if a substitution is made it is the right one and at the right time. that if a player holds the board to ramson over a contract(Sidwell) he doesn't capitulate.
-
BTW Steve Coppell has signed a new 2 year deal. We may be a small club but we have confidence in our manager!(and the DOF)
-
Dear NE5 Only 5 of the Reading squad remain following the departure of Pardew. Oh and Reading also have a DOF.

One other thing about Roeder's transfer policy which p*sses me off

Do Newcastle have exclusive rights to sign Gooch or can someone outbid them in the summer? That's of course as long as Glen as seen enough of him to make a decision. -
Always keen to blame other people for his mistakes!!!
-
Did Woodgate hold opposing players by the hand and drag them to the ground last night? Did that on saturday to Lita on numerous occaisions alas the ref missed all of them. Annoyingly Viduka was playing well though he and Yakabu were slightly cannier than Reading's centre-backs.

I used to live just down the road from Elm Park!!! Luckily moved out before it became part of the red light district.
-
Hoon OR Mark YOU CHEEKY LITTLE SOD!!! I was at Elm park for a lot of the 70's and 80's.Not easy being a season ticket holder 300 miles away.I was at old trafford on saturday despite getting home at 1-45 am. Indeed ,I could bore for Britain on Reading FC. your next door neighbour (I assume there aren't many Reading fans in Prudhoe)
-
First our players, now our manager! Even if it all goes pear-shaped next season most Reading fans are so thrilled by the last two seasons we'd forgive him. By the way, only 5 players remain from the Pardew era.
-
Bloody Hell!!!! Can I have one of what Nazza's on!!! Hope he's right!!!!
-
Having to leave the field after injury and wait to be waved back on.
-
you also missed Shane Long of your list of decent Reading players-due to make Irish debut tonight.
-
Thanks for kind words on Reading.Back in the good old days when we were in the fourth division, getting crowds of 4000(on a good day) no-one could imagine 20,000 plus at every home game.So what if it all goes tits up at least we made it to the top flight and we are enjoying it.

Following on from the pet hates thread

The unsung heroes of the Premiership (my top 10) - how about yours?

As well as Kevin Doyle, Reading also got Shane Long in a buy one ,get one free deal.Still very slight and bullied by Richard Dunne on saturday but has the potential to be as good as Doyle.(called up to Ireland squad this week.) -
Reading intend to play the reserve team in the cup so you may face Burnley.
-
Can I be boring here but I actually saw Robin Friday play!!! Rumour also has it that he was once sent off, walked down the tunnel, out the front door and straight into the pub opposite!!!!
-
READING!!!Though I don't think we're debt free. plans are afoot to expand the stadium-just hope we can fill it.
-
I rate Nicky Shorey very highly(as do most Reading fans and Sir Steve Coppell). However I would leap at Arron Hughes' return.Seeing him at the villa just reminds me of what an absolute twat S*****s was!!!!!
-
I confess!!!! I booed - in fact I booed everyone of the Newcastle players! Except Shay who kept you in the game!
-
Possibly a couple from Hibs-Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson.Mind getting Kitson back will seem like a new player! He's not played since being attacked by a Smoggie just before half-time on the first day of the season.About two weeks from full fitness he pulls a HAMSTRING on the other leg!
-
Arsenal game somewhat overshadowed by the Chelsea game the week before. The whole team seemed nervous about tackling.Went to Anfield-Uriah Rennie the referee!Played well but didn't get any decisions.Had a goal disallowed that was not shown on MOTD also had a couple of penalty shouts go against us.Looking forward to Wednesday though have Bolton at the Mad Stad first.
-
you're lucky to get 5.Some of us in the sticks still only have 4 channels!
