Spend 9.5 on bringing Albert Luque back, my god do we need him now!
-
He is both white and black. That's no coincidence. We should sign him. Yes going by the logic of this thread, he will have the skills of a white man and the POWER of a black man.
-
Please god let this happen!

Wont get passed his goons, but at atleast people are willing to write a well worded letter to him rather than crazy drunk charvers outside jumping up and down shouting sack the board.

Personally, i would put scouting young talent on hold until the end of this transfer window and focus on the here and now. Your first team status and well being is the most important factor of a prem club. -

Aye i suppose it is nice signing all these young talented players with potential. If we get relegatd all the prem sides will take them anyway, if they are actually any good of course. -
Disagree with this slightly. This might be the season I have feared relegation the most since we were promoted in 1993, moreso than last season, and regardless of what happens I don't think that will change until May. So the first team may be in the worst predicament for many a year. BUT ... as a CLUB there are a lot of things in the background which have improved. I think it's generally acknowledged that for the first time perhaps ever we have a decent Academy set up do we? , and a proper youth recruitment policy. We have no bank debt and you know this for sure, if we havent why the recluctance to spend any money or even the money of the sale of milner?, which is a massive positive in the current banking market. Relegation this year would be a disaster, but if the unthinkable does happen, we are better placed to handle it than if it had happened a couple of years ago.

Wont help us in the short term. FFS -
No, was just raising a point.

I'm going to bed, this could go on all night. See you all in the Championship next season............ Oh and dont forget to buy the new toon top, a Lonsdale one with Sprts Direct on it as our new sponsor.
-
aye nixon, who would want a 1st 3rd 6th 2nd, or 2nd, league finish these days, its s*** isnt it. How long ago was that? why , does it preceed you jumping on the toon bandwagon? Mate the reason I say that is because by his own admission he'd not seen a game for 3 years, you think its wise to give someone like that millions of pounds? Come on man, be sensible. he had been out of the game 8 years in 1992, the bloke was european footballer of the year twice, his record of buys was excellent, England capatain, liverpool captain, newcastle captain, league champion, european champion,,... you dont forget in three years man, be sensible. my point is, he has an eye for a player, he dosent lose this in 3 years, open your eyes, see what is happening without him. Has an eye for a player? Not recently. His record for buying players at Man City was absolutely toss. so man city would have preffered not to get promoted by him, cos he bought s*** players, and they would rather be in a lower division, with someone buying better players,. ..lolol Lolol? Why are you changing your arguement? His record in terms of spending there was laughable and they were simply not progressing. If anything all you are doing is making the case for the people you are arguing with. I'm sure Man city fans were grateful for what he did in terms of getting them up but that doesn't absolve him of criticism, just as many Newcastle supporters can look back at his past with fondness but were wary of his return, and do not see him as automatically blameless in in the events leading to our current plight. Ok then show me what he spent for man city. I think he was only there 3 seasons. Not progressing, surely staying in the prem was way better then being a yo yo club.

Amen. In 97 I was gutted. Much like a lot now, the man, the legend, he's gone, why? bla bla bla... was also annoyed of his timing because what the hell do we do now, but he was excused as he had his reasons I guessed. Now this puts everything into perspective again. What was the f***ing point this time around, Kev? I do wonder. Bye now. Bottled it? he quit becuase the club was floated and he was being forced to flog before he bought. We were competing with manu at the time and giving as good as we got. Sadly the board members got super greedy. So he left on principle. He left the club in a cracking postion with the best team we had seen in recent times. The second time, most recently he was obviously promised funds for players and then t eventually done over by the wankers running the club.
-
You sound like a right dick when you bang on about age this age that. I saw it (and a little before) and it was great, but Keegan is still a bottling c*** that left us right in the s***...again. No need to call people dicks man, surely you can argue your point without that man. What do you mean again?

ha ha, go have a word with yourself mate. Nobody expected him to win anything with NUFC but he would have given us much needed stability AND have us playing half decent football. And i'll tell you summik about man city, did he not get them promoted? Did he not stabalise their prem status, with little funds? Did he not get Fulham promoted and stabalise their prem status. Did he not save us from the third division and then won promotion the next season, THEN after that storming to a thrid place finish in the prem with us? DID HE NOT BUILD THE BEST NUFC SIDE THAT ANYONE ON HERE HAS EVER SEEN? Last season did he also not find a way to play Owen, Martins and Viduka in the same team and have them scoring goals, while the self acclaimed tactical genius of Allerdyce struggled to get the ball to any of them. Seriously man, stop having a pop at one of the best managers we've had at this club when you look at the knackers which have come and gone since. Souness, Allerdyce, Roeder, Fuckingkinnear. Ahh yes, the old 15 years ago achievement routine. Classic. Ahhh yes ignoring facts and history again to bend a twist an argument. Did he or did he not find a way to play Martins, Viduka and Owen AND have them scoring goals? Did Allerdyce have the same 3 players scoring goals? Erm, NO. Sorry like but some of you people having a pop at KK need to have a word with yourselves. By no means was he perfect but I know who I'd rather have as manager over the plebs which have been here in recent years. Feel free to read the edit made to your original post. Its not me who's twisting history, just pointing out that his most notable achievment at any club was 15 years ago. He did great things for this club, but he gets afforded far more credit than he deserves in a footballing context - i perfectly understand his affiliation with newcastle and know why he's held in high regard but when it comes to judgin him as manager - he was nothing special. YOUr f***ing insane. 1st, 3rd, 6th, 2nd, 2nd,......nothing special.... No, nothing special it terms of other managerial achievments. If he didnt quit the 1st (2nd ) time round i firmly believe he could of been one of the best managers out there, possiliby up there with Wenger and Fergie, could of built a true dynasty here. He was never going to be able to build a dynasty here, once the Halls decided to float NUFC it was clear he was going to have to flog players to bring players in. Thats no way run a top side. KK was having none of it. [/quote You think? I dont know the implications of turinign to a PLC but i dont see what he'd of had to do that most managers out there havent done in the past, isnt that pasrt and parcel of being a great manager? The thing is though, that we ended up being finanacially stronger in years to come. do you not think Keegan would of thrived with the fiannaces that the others managers recieved? Ok take your point on that most managers do have to sell players to bring in new faces. Did Fergie? Did Wenger? No, We were competing with Man U at the time. And this PLC business, look at who was braought in after we flogged a few. Barnes, RUSH (FFS), Adreas Anderson (FFS) Did we become financially stronger?, I thought Shepherd was running up our overdraft. Thats not financially stable. Look at us now, not a pot to piss in.

No we need skillful players with ability who give a fuck. It does not come down to who has the most or tallest black guys. FFS

ha ha, go have a word with yourself mate. Nobody expected him to win anything with NUFC but he would have given us much needed stability AND have us playing half decent football. And i'll tell you summik about man city, did he not get them promoted? Did he not stabalise their prem status, with little funds? Actually he had some decent finds and didnt really do much with then. They fought relegation pretty much every season. He still stablised a yo yo club where many managers failed in the past, pretty good considering man city spent some time in the third divisionFair enough, but he did have a decent amount of money there and Anelka aside he bought pretty poorly. Did he not get Fulham promoted and stabalise their prem status. Actually, he got them promoted but left for the England job Still a promotion tho. Yep, you're right, but there are plenty of managers who have done this, it also helped being backed by Al Fayed Actually , didnt want to leave for England, But Mohamed al fayed did a deal with the FA for Compensastion........CP40I didnt realise that, i knew he didnt walk out on the club. Did he not save us from the third division and then won promotion the next season, THEN after that storming to a thrid place finish in the prem with us? Yes, 17 years ago. Still better then anyone has done for us since.True, but SBR prved that it wasnt a freak thing, he took over a squad which had be taken apart but he proved that we werent far from realsising our ptotential. yet he doesnt get the accolade maybe he deserves. DID HE NOT BUILD THE BEST NUFC SIDE THAT ANYONE ON HERE HAS EVER SEEN? Yes Last season did he also not find a way to play Owen, Martins and Viduka in the same team and have them scoring goals, while the self acclaimed tactical genius of Allerdyce struggled to get the ball to any of them. So? Well, after all the bull s*** surronding Allerdyce from his media pals, did KK not show Allderyce up for what he really was. A defensive clogger. Allardyce isnt highly rated by too may in football, certainly not the levels that we rateKeegan. Seriously man, stop having a pop at one of the best managers we've had at this club when you look at the knackers which have come and gone since. Souness, Allerdyce, Roeder, Fuckingkinnear. Ahh yes, the old 15 years ago achievement routine. Classic.

Even worse. or one of his cheap England shirts with the England badge crossed out and an NUFC badge on the other side.
