  1. I'm watching this at home, thanks to the Mrs deciding to get really fucking ill early today. I feel strangely tense.
  2. Go into the city centre, have a few down Hurst Street. *whistles*
  3. 4 dead. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090524/tuk-four-killed-in-wrong-way-m6-crash-6323e80.html Not at Spaghetti as i thought, but the next junction up. Still, it means absolute traffic chaos in all approaches to the ground. It looks as if the accident happened at about 9am, hopefully the accident investigation won't take all day but they can't rush those sort of things. There was one near us a while back (M40) and the motorway was closed pretty much the entire way. I guess it is a crime scene, too, if someone was driving the wrong way up the motorway.

  5. Our new away shirt. The England link obviously being that it, errm, looks like an England shirt. http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/4853/shirtfront.jpg www.whenthenationcalls.com
  6. Interesting. The M6 southbound is CLOSED at Spaghetti Junction in BOTH directions, for an accident on the south bound carriageway, a bad one apparently. Two things. Firstly, that's the turn off for Villa Park. Secondly, it is also Gay Pride parade today in town, so the traffic will be fucking awful. I can genuinely see this match kicking off late, which will be to your advantage.
  7. God, the papers don't have talk some utter s****, don't they? The thing is, Sunderland could not spend 200m effectively because nobody who was any good would consider going there. All it takes is a decent manager with a fair reputation in Europe (Ranieri perhaps?), and players will join, particularly when there's big money on offer. All it takes is a decent manager with a fair reputation in Europe. Problem number one.

  9. If you need a goal tomorrow and I see Owen coming on, my expectation that you will get one will go up. I could watch Mark Viduka lumber around all day long and not have any worries.
  10. Here's what I'd do. If, with ten minutes remaining, Villa are one nil up, visit the gambling site of your choice and go to their Live Betting page. Stick whatever you have on it finishing 1-1. We're pretty much unable (with the exception of Hull City recently) of closing out games like that.
  11. I doubt you'd be thrown out for celebrating in the director's box.
  12. I've just been reading a webchat from this lunchtime that the Birmingham Mail's Villa man did. In it he says that he "knows that a decent number of the players have flights booked for Monday, and won't want a broken toe or similar to ruin anything".
  13. Told you, you're staying up, the worry is null and void. You'll see. I shall be here on Sunday evening saying "told you so".

  15. They're both American. 70 percent of American males are called Brad. That's a statistical truth. off topic, but how many Brad's are there in the US national side? Well in their last match there was: Brad Keller Brad Cherundolo Brad Conrad Oguchi Onyewu Brad Bocanegra Brad Reyna Brad Dempsey Brad Donovan DaBrad Beasley Brad Lewis Brad McBride So, quite a few

  17. We ALWAYS have players out of position, MON is obssessed with it. Apparently LY is a no but AY has a decent chance. He'll stick NRC or Gardner at RB to cover for LY, which isn't too much of a problem, unless you've got a bit of pace on your left flank. We won't have, don't worry. Although, so bizarre are MON's selections at time, I wouldn't rule out Brad Guzan playing at RB.

  19. Why give a fuck what other people think? If i was at SJP and saw us get relegated, I reckon I'd probably shed a tear. I sure as fuck wouldn't give a flying one what anyone sat watching SSN or MOTD thought.
  20. I doubt they are even bothered about finishing above Everton. Team finishing sixth starts the Europa League three weeks before the team in fifth, so there is some benefit. I've said this a billion times, but will say it again, we're fooking gash, you'll beat us on Sunday, I would put money on it. In fact, I have. It is other results you need to be looking at, though. I am mentally incapable of not wanting us to win football matches. At the end of the day, if we beat you and you go down, it won't be our fault you went down. It won't happen, though, so this is wasted typeage. And typeage isn't even a proper word. Word. thats gonna have to be your sig as from monday. What, all four lines? Meh

  22. Agbonlahor will be playing alongside Carew up front, it will be Milner and Young on the flanks. Although i hope he drops Gabby, who looks fooked, and plays Delfouneso.
  23. I always want us to win, to be honest. What I think will happen on Sunday is you will beat us (seriously, it is almost as if you lot haven't actually watched us play, one win in 3.5 months, and that was at home against Hull, and even then we struggled), but I look at that Hull - Man United match and really, I don't know, I can see it going both ways. Oh, and i can actually see Sunderland going down, purely because the schadenfreude exhibited in those RTG avatars and sigs is just asking to be repaid. Of course I shall be hanging around. Good good, what was it brought you here in the first place? Lived up there mid - late 1980s, used to go and watch you a lot, back in the day.

  25. Thing is, he's looked like he's worth it for the last chunk of the season.
