  1. Aaron Lennon reminds me very, very much of Tony Daley.
  2. You're probably right. I'm backing Tony Adams to get the best out of him.
  3. mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif Being fair KD, he was good tonight I thought, I don't rate the two mentioned either really. I think it's time to put a bid in for Kranjcar. Have you seen Lennon this season? he's been immense. When Kaka says that Pennant is a better "footballer" then him, i somewhat see his point (altough i completely disagree with it), but his point becomes void when he also states that he's also a better "footballer" then Milner. By using the term footballer, i assumed he was basing his judgement on technique alone but then Milner is twice the player Pennant is, when it comes to that. I am now 100% convinced you don't even watch football games. Milner better technique than Jermaine Pennant. God have mercy on you for such profanity! That is a shcocking statement. Milner has been superb the last 3 or 4 games for us. Read into that what you will.
  4. Well it's lucky that you're not a fan then. Your club is doing good this season so enjoy it while it lasts. I'm enjoying it very much, ta. Just commenting on Harry's approach to management. Don't think our good season impinges on my ability to comment on matters elsewhere, tbh.
  5. I love the way Spurs seem to think the way to success is to just frantically sign more players, endlessly. At some point, good coaching comes into it. Sadly, Harry is the kind of manager who will go for the frantic spending in the vain hope it pays off eventually, rather than working on coaching what he has to do the best they can. When he said last week he was as good a coach as MON and (I think) Fergie, I almost spat a kidney out. He's the archetypal cheque book manager, and he's now at a club who will go along with that strategy. I genuinely struggle to think of a worse pairing. Look at recent goings on, resigning Defoe and Chimbonda and talking about re-signing Keane. That doesn't even look like inspired signing, it looks like bewilderment to me. I hate the media love Spurs get, it is totally uncalled for, but I have no innate dislike for the club. If I were a Spurs fan right now, I would be very, very worried indeed.
  6. Those who watch the reserves rave about him.
  7. Incidentally, I'd like to tip my hat to Zat Knight, who was superb yet again this evening. Fuck knows what we could do if we started playing as well as we are capable of.
  8. That's how we play away from home. Is that six away league games won in a row? It obviously works. Incidentally, no John Carew for 3 months, no Wilfred Bouma for the entire season, and Martin Laursen out for 2 months now. Why doesn't playing shit away from home work for us? We were poor in the second half, but I never thought for a nanosecond that we wouldn't win. I just don't feel that way. And I'm a relatively cynical type

  10. If we beat Pompey and Albion beat Man U by 15 goals, I think we could go top. FUCKING STRIPEYFILTH CUNTS
  11. That bell ringing cunt at Pompey. Great quote on his wikipedia page "Amongst other sections of fans John has become known as 'That Cunt with the Bell'"
  12. Well, yes, and the temptation to reunite the glorious, almost-top-half-of-the-table team of last season must be immense. I bet Levy soils his pants every time Harry tells him he's got a new transfer target (although he probably gets it from the media like the rest of us), in case he tells him he wants to exhume Danny Blanchflower. Wobbly faced cunt.
  13. I can't see us going after him. He'd not get a sniff of a game on the left wing, as we've the Blessed Ashley there. There's no possibility of switching him to the right to accomodate N'Zogbia as we've got the increasingly-delivering-the-goods-but-you-don't-want-to-hear-that Milner there. The only appeal I can see is that Shorey is shite and we need cover at LB until Bouma is back to full fitness, but I thought being forced to play at LB was at the root of N'Zogbia's problem in any case.
  14. Honestly, there is no club more entertaining than Tottenham in recent years.
  15. Perhaps Hull offered Bullard the security he wasn't getting at Fulham? Good signing for them, though. Best player on the pitch when we played them at VP
  16. Heskey is obviously being signed to hold the ball up for Agbonlahor, to play a similar role he does with Owen for England. Liverpool apparently trying to get him for nowt in the summer, the tightarsed mooses.
  17. As a neutral I'd take Bullard over Barton every single time. He's a better player, his attitude is spot on, and Barton is a fucking mentalist seemingly constantly verging on the edge of prison. Would you say Barton was better than Bullard if the former wasn't a Newcastle player? No manager with half a brain cell (that explains Tony Adams) would touch Barton right now. Bullard is a good player, he's just going to struggle to get clubs to pay him what he (seemingly) wants at the moment (as someone outlined above, the costs over 4 years are huge)
  18. Heskey about to join Villa for 3.5m
  19. How is that beneficial to you?. Heskey's a decent player but he's very similiar to Carew. What happens when you're a goal down in a game and you need to change things? Heskey isn't exactly going to get you a goal from nothing is he. Pogrebnyak is a much better option as he actually scores (as well as everything else Heskey is capable of). Heskey=Carew if you want to look at it in basic terms. what he would offer is a substitute/rival for Carew's position which they dont really have atm, other than errrr Harewood. agree though that Pogrebnyak would be better, based on what ive seen. if he is available on a loan id love us to bring him here. Precisely. Heskey is like Carew. Carew hasn't played a match in over two months now.
  20. Strong rumours down here that we're signing Heskey. Hmmm.
  21. There's a Luka Modric difference imo, and that's it. Their squad is much deeper, and has alot more talent. I would kill for Thudd/JJ/Zokora/Palacios/Modric. The only area of the pitch we are better is goalkeeper, and tbh Gomes has been coming along nicely. Yes, coming along nicely if he has in fact all this time been a participant in a new BBC talent / reality show called "Clown Show"
  22. I dont think the CC winners get in to the UEFA Cup or whatever it is called next season.
  23. I don't know if this has been posted already, and I can't be arsed to page back repeatedly to check, but this just made me chuckle http://i44.tinypic.com/1e4f84.gif
  24. He's just returned to training today, but we need options either way.
  25. Ah, incredibly Carew like then.
