He only seems to have the stamina for 70 minutes. Keeping him on hoping he'll get a goal doesn't help him. Maybe he needs to be benched and come on as a sub in the last 30 minutes in the next game? We'll have to use the squad more next season so our players will have to get used to not starting every game. *Prove me wrong Demba and score a winner against Chelsea!

I watched Wigan against Man U and Arsenal and they played just like they did today against us. All one touch passes, pace and drive. F*** knows why they only play like that in the last third of a season. None of our team played well today. Regroup and go again against Chelsea. Hopefully the team will be fired up to 'right a wrong'.

Assuming Wigan stay up, I hope our fixtures against them are before their end of season form kicks in.

Can people please stop saying "Chelsea won't win the final". Most people said they wouldn't beat Barcelona. We've still got to finish 4th and Chelsea have to win the Champions League before we can be pissed off about this result. Abramovich wants to win the Champions League above all else. This result may work in our favour if Chelsea rest players during Premiership games. Their players won't want to pick up an injury.

I understand that to an extent but surely it would be partially those players faults that we hadn't qualified again. It's funny how the media say certain players of ours will leave if we don't qualify for Europe (and now that we've qualified for the Europa League they'll change that to the Champions League). How many of our players expected us to qualify for Europe when they signed their contracts with NUFC? I believe top 10 was the stated target this season and then top 8 next season. We've performed better than expected. I don't see why our players would want to leave now when they presumably signed their contract not expecting us to qualify for Europe.

Totally agree. We were lucky Senegal got knocked out in the group stages this season. You'd imagine they'd get further next time. Ba and Cisse (assuming they're both still at NUFC) will be a big miss for January and February next season. Tiote (if he's also still at NUFC) is again likely to get to the latter stages with the Ivory Coast. We need another decent, striker. Preferably a European one. When Ba and Cisse were away Best and Ameobi were a poor second choice. Lovenkrands will be leaving. NUFC want rid of Ranger. Xisco will be loaned out for the last season of his contract. I doubt Sammy or Vuckic will be the ACN striker solution next season. Hopefully getting a good striker won't be a problem with us qualified for Europe.
