And he certainly doesn't look like a man who think he's bulletproof. Going back to my original statement, I think emptying the away section etc. shows that the club is still 100% behind him. His body language doesn't necessarily mean he fears for his job. His ego is probably hurting from all the losses and I imagine it can't be easy to have the fans on your back every game. The club specifically emptied out part of the away section just so he would get less abuse. He's going nowhere no matter how many games we lose.

I feel like I'd be happy for about five minutes if Pardew is sacked. After that I'd be overcome by utter dread at what sort of unspeakably shit new manager Ashley would decide to punish us with.

He will never be sacked for results. Ever. He will if it puts Ashley's investment at risk. I.E relegation. He's already put Ashley's investment at significant risk but has received unconditional support from his boss. NUFC is a drop in the bucket for Ashley and he can always find a buyer in the Championship if he has to. He doesn't care.
