We used to have a team of midgets but now we've added height, we're far more capable in more positions/situations. Don't compare us to Stoke though, what a horrible little club they are!

Fantastic centre-back pairing, Colo works so well with Mike. Very handy adding some height in attack too, has he scored for us yet? he deserves one.

Got a grin the size of the tyne bridge right now, had my heart in my mouth most of the match but we were magnificent. Stout defending, intelligent attack play and some great midfield work too. So chuffed for them!

I'm going to say 2-2 but I secretly think arse will win 3-1... Going to be long balls from us all day, the midfield battle is obviously going to be vital and they're amazing in that area..

Personally I think Loven is far, far ahead of Nile. Loven gets goals, he gets in the right positions and has composure. Obviously he had no chances against Arsenal but Nile needs to improve elsewhere for now, then we'll see what he's made of.

Is it me or does he slip up and lose his footing all the bloody time. Wasn't good enough in the arsenal match I'm afraid, desperately needs to go out on loan, as others have suggested.

What a player, him and jonas were my players of the match today. Cheick is so calm on the ball, strong and makes good decisions. The longer he's in the team, the better he'll gel. Just what we need.

Man City did not deserve to win this game. We deserved at least a draw but hughton's hand's were tied with the injuries. I thought Jonas was obviously man of the match, with Tiote very close too (he was outstanding). I thought Barton didn't play well and Nolan was ineffective today, other than that I thought our player did very well. Especially our defence. Extremely unlucky match and I'm so, so gutted for Arfa.

Playing a lone striker at home is just wrong imo, especially against a shit side like stoke. I thought we should've taken nolan off at about 60-70 mins and stuck loven on. I think chris can take a bit of blame for this one, as we should've won 3- or 4 nowt. Very disappointed. plus points: tiote was great, jonas surging forward, colo and williamson work so well together. perch wasn't even that bad, felt sorry for him on the own goal, but if I'm honest, he's definitely backup and not 1st team material really. raylor should play ahead of him.
