I've never been bothered about how much we spend, I just want a squad with depth that we can delve into when the time calls. I just think we're going to be up shit creek at some points between now and xmas if we don't get another 2 players in. And if it was definitely only 2 players in, I'd want an (attacking) CM and a striker...

I'm actually getting a sick feeling in my stomach from worrying over transfers............jesus christ, the stress this club puts you under at times (I tend to get this at the end of every transfer window though) This weekend is going to be HUGE. Plus I'm going to Turkey for 2 weeks on Sunday night so I'll most likely miss it all..........thats if anything happens...

Jonas is so mint. I think we all agree that Geremi is fine as a squad player, a useful sub but only that, we really need someone ahead of him. I'd much prefer him in the centre too, but only as 2nd choice. This week is going to get interesting, fingers crossed we get new people in

Very impressed with our acquisitions so far. I thought Bassong had an very good debut. Looks assured and seems a good deal for a french U21 international. Looking forward to seeing more of him, so I'd like to see him start in our cup matches like he did tonight. Well done Bassong, hope he turns out to be a good option for us in the future, we shall see

I think some people miss the fact we scored 2 goals (3 with a half fit striker), away from home, with basically no strikers until owen came on. Also...Jonas is quickly becoming my fave toon player of the moment, hes so strong on the ball, tidy and passes perfectly.

Our players are definitely in great shape and tbh, even if we don't get a player or 2 this window - I feel confident about the season. KK is doing a great job so far imo, I see a character about our side coming through again. Something I've not seen for a while now

Great game, I thought we were great. Obviously we should've walked away with the points much earlier but a freakish throw-in and a superb finish kept them in it. Jonas is one of the tidiest players i've seen play for us so far, pure class. Colo was just fantastic, such a natural defender and I thought Bassong also had a excellent game, could be a steal. Milner never stopped, same goes for guthrie and butt, who performed great. We all knew that it was going to be extremely difficult getting goals tonight, with literally NO strikers - bar owen who was only meant to play 15 minutes. I'm really, really impressed with how our team is shaping up. Fingers crossed we get some players in, especially a striker and midfielder, before the window shuts. :thup:

I hope we hammer them but I must say i've got a little more nervous about our striker situation.......I think it'll be 0-1 or -0-2 to us on the night but I think we'll have a few scares. Hope I'm wrong! like most people I'd like us to blood some youngsters if we get comfortable but looking at our striking injuries we may have to play them whether we're comfortable or not.......eek! Off to my local bout 7.30 COME ON LADS!
