The problem is that I didn’t forget and just expect them to do that at this point, even if a criticism is valid. I can’t help but suspect that they are itching to say “I told you so” more than they want us to do well, even though it may be unfair on a few. But cry wolf and all that.

One more bad result and I fear that we are going back to the Dokko of two years ago.

Bournemouth probably should have been relegated seasons before given their lack of talent for much of their PL existence under him. It took a strange set of circumstances to finally tip the balance. Not bad after punching above their weight for quite a few seasons. that first sentence appears to be lacking in context.

It really absurd to say after a few grueling months of a season. But this honestly feels almost like the same conversation from last January. It's going to pop up every time we have a rough patch. And it's often the same posters.

As I’ve said numerous times, what I find most irritating is this self victimization circle jerk a few people get into. “People laughed when I said” or “forum police”. Not only on here; it’s all over the place. maybe it’s because I’m dealing with just that with this narcissistic woman who was one of the subjects in our film. Thankfully even the worst culprits on here aren’t nearly so bad, but I am just a bit hypersensitive to it.

Without the takeover, we probably would have been stuck with Bruce until it was too late anyway. I think people have forgotten how grim it was in January 2022. I'm not convinced that many managers would have gotten us out of that horrible mess as easily as Eddie Howe did. Of course the spending can't be dismissed (even though 15% of the outlay was on Chris fucking Wood), but getting some of those players, who were utterly hopeless a few months before, to look like PL quality was not far from being a miracle. It was just as impressive as 4th last year for me.

They barely played much before we were out of the relegation zone iirc. Trippier had the absolutely important goal, but keep in mind that we got him for pennies. Fact is that he had us out of the relegation zone with only Dan Burn and Chris Wood being the new guys who played regularly. We were in such a bad state that relegation was expected by most on here even toward the end of January. I think people are starting to use a slight amount of revisionist history to underplay Howe’s achievement.

He had us out of the relegation zone with an injured Trippier and Bruno on the bench…and Chris Wood up front. his first season was nothing short of witchcraft. Hope people don’t understate what an achievement it was.
