It would probably go to France, Platini is in with Blatters and France are building/regenerating stadiums for the Euro's. Then again would Europe get it so soon after Russia (assuming Russia will still retain 2018)? Only the USA could really host it without needing to build new stadia outside of Europe, that is if FIFA will allow the use of American football stadiums. He's not though. Platini want Blatter to go. Team that plays there normally is well supported tbf. Ground is smaller than their old one according to Wiki. It's the white elephant ones that are the issue. I still shudder thinking of the stadium "legacy" left behind in South Africa.

The empty seats back my point of view that a WC don't need a ton of big ass stadiums. Just three-four for the "major" matches and the rest can be played in normal sized ones that can still be filled properly when the WC is over.
