  1. Back to 3-0 'cause VAR, ah well.
  2. 4-0 Haaland and Ødegaard aren't even playing
  3. I'm genuinely grateful to have been lucky enough to have grown up and lived through a period of time where the country I happened to be born in have had a genuinely good, kindhearted and wholesome King. Especially given the historical record of Royals and their extended family throughout history throughout the world... That said, I also acknowledge the fact my opinion about the King of Norway may be rather biased given the fact I've met him on several occasions and that he's visited my parents farm and sat in the same sofa I'm sat on right now as I write this We really, really, need to abolish the monarchy when the sad day comes that King Harald inevitably kicks the bucket, though. All the others in the direct line of inheritance, and their partners, are all accursed heinous fucked up psychopathic people – like the majority of all royals throughout history. We lucked out having one of the rare good ones, that's for sure
  4. Mental. I'd have relegated them and nulled all matches played against the club for the other teams and continued the season with the table as it'd look without any Southampton fixtures affecting it. Yhey've cheated and fucked up an entire full season for all of the 23 teams that followed the rules. The punishment is far, far, too lenient. It's not just the play-offs they've fucked up, the knock-on effect could well have relegated Oxford and Leicester.
  5. Wrexham apparently considering legal action against the EFL to have the play-offs replayed from scratch with them in it.
  6. I assume there'll be a knock-on effect trickling down the league with several clubs going after Southampton. I mean, just for starters, their cheating will have cost Wrexham the chance of a fourth successive promotion through the play-offs and arguably had a direct effect on the results eventually leading to Oxford's relegation. The unbeaten run Southampton went on appear to coincidentially have begun just at the same time Southampton admitted to starting their spy operation Personally I think a -4 point deduction for next season is too lenient. They should have been given -3 points for each fixture they played this season after they admitted to starting their spying.
  7. Decided to ask Perplexity Pro (Deep Research) to "create the best and most iconic shirt designs for Newcastle United to wear during the 2026/27 campaign" and this is what it cooked up: Simplicity is so, so, beautiful... leave "experimental" designs for the third/alt kits
  8. If, and only if, Howe's sacked/resigns at the end of the season; I'd very much welcome Mourinho if he were to be his replacement. Would I be welcoming him solely because of, and based on, his SBR connection? Yes, yes I would I just feel like if something feels like the universe is setting up the story beats for a "Hollywood Ending", who are we to tell the universe to fuck off? Mourinho managing us as his most likely, in that scenario, last gig in club management before either retiring or taking over Portugal... leading the hometown club of personal hero and mentor into the golden era filled to the brim with success and trophies his mentor never achieved in his lifetime. The obvious close connection Mourinho has had to SBR since he was given his first footballing gig as SBR's translator at Sporting a whopping 34 years ago this year would automatically warm most of the fanbase up to him, if not immediately, then at the very least much sooner than any other alternative. That connection would in turn likely also make it easier for him to motivate his players, as he'd genuinely want to do well to honor Sir Bobby's memory. He'd (I strongly believe) finally regain a semblance of motivation to do well as a club's manager again, which it has not looked like he's had ever since his 2nd stint at Stamford Bridge came to a close in December 2015. He's just looked more and more unmotivated for each club he's taken charge of in the 11 years that's followed. I genuinely do not believe he'd rock up at St. James' without a fire in his belly, fully motivated to honor Sir Bobby's memory by reminding the world why he once called himself "The Special One"
  9. So what you’re actually saying is that this SJP knock‑off LEGO set would scratch all random hyperfocus itches and produce a tangible end result rather than result in untold hours wasted staring at the screen unable to snap out of the calming repetitiveness I only thought I'd experience from compiling barely‑related Wikipedia URLs into random lists that I'll inevitably discard or save, never to look at again, when I snap out of whatever funk I was in...?
  10. Also, just for the record: I have no idea if the AI (Perplexity Deep Research) actually managed to make the format/maths make sense. I just saved the final generated images of it, threw them onto imgur and then posted the lot. I make no guarantees for mathable maths being mathed by the AI in its attempt tosomehow successfully create a 211+ nation World Cup format that fully checks the boxes for the three WC requirements: mathematical function, worldwide entertainment and able to generate enough FIFA blood-money... For all I know it fucked up on the first hurdle by not figuring out how many nations the the pre-group-stage knock-outs required However, if it somehow managed to get through the lot... I'd actually be somewhat impressed
  11. Me: "....AI-Genie, I wish to see what a no-qualifiers, all-FIFA members participating, World Cup would look like..." AI-Genie: "Your wish.... ...is my... ...COMMAND*!!!" You know, folks, the true story's this: This system's refusing to do the math on our 211 FIFA members only. Oh nooo... its gotta cram in Greenland, Palau, Tuvalu – Tuvalu?! I mean, please... every nation at the 2034 World Cup?! Forget it. Greenland is melting.
  12. I didn't say "champions of England", I said "Premier League winners. That was done purposefully to make for a better and more "your lifetime" relevant comparison.
  13. 1 in 4 then, better average of new champions than the Premier League
  14. Not disagreeing with the "looks boring" statement, but that's still a new winner once every third World Cup, which doesn't sound like the same nations "winning all the time" to me It just feels like that I reckon because it's only held once every four years, been 15 World Cup's since there were back-to-back winners as well
  15. Brand new nation winning every third World Cup, then? Seems a decent ratio that
  16. I do, tbf Hate when it's only the "big" nations left, lose all interest. I want to see random players from Iraq I've never heard of look like they're Maradona incarnated, then watch all the big clubs fight each other to sign them only based off two-three great group games and then see them rot away in the Real Madrid reserves for the next ten years
  17. I don't want to get all 'emotional' on a forum, but this Norm character is all right. He’s better than a sharp stick in the eye, I’ll tell you that much.
  18. 1. Yes. FIFA decided they wanted to get even more money for absolutely nothing as they made it mandatory for agents to take and pass an exam only FIFA can arrange and only FIFA can set the entrance fee cost... The exam is absolute bullshit and 100% a money grab, because if it actually was about "ensuring agents are competent and have knowledge of national and international transfer laws and regulations" like FIFA claim it is – you'd have to take the exam after actually having studied the 583 page curriculum to such a degree you'd be able to answer the questions on the test based on your actual knowledge/memory... not by looking up the answer to each question in said 583 page curriculum as you're allowed to look through it whenever you want when taking the exam... 2. He certainly feels like the type of person who'd be dumb enough to do that, yes.
