So what if we win today and Ashley starts to think that the team can get back to the prem with the current squad and an average manager and decides not to sell for the current price? Or am I an idiot for not being able to be happy that the team is doing well?

I'm hoping that our form makes him realize that if we bolster the squad we will be likely to get back up.

Ugh, and the real downside of being in the CCC for me is now really hitting me. Being in New York, going to the game is out of the question, and this forum is now my only way of following this game, as will be the case for so many games this year. But with nobody anywhere able to watch the game, the forum won't be full of constant updates either, so unless guys at the game are updating us, it's going to be awful. We better kick some ass, so at least I have some highlights to look forward to.

If this Roberts meeting and possible bid is true, it's only going to serve to prolong this sale and keep us out of the transfer window (assuming that Moat's can actually buy the club). What a f***ing fiasco.

There's no need to panic just because the club hasn't been sold today. I'm sure there's more to it than Ashley handing the keys to the stadium over to Moat. These things take time.

I think we're getting far too worked up about all this ITK nonsense. It's fun to speculate, but let's not take it too seriously. We'll know what is happening when it happens, and it seems like it won't be too long, according to what Lamb-Arse said to SSN.

Kind of sounds like us when we signed him, with so many people showing up to see him unveiled. I even got caught up in it and put his name on the back of the away jersey I bought that year.

He'll probably end up doing well for them, tbh. Not because he's good, but just because the football gods will want to spite us.

I haven't harboured too much resentment for him for that OG. He was terrible for us but I never questioned his desire.

So long as Barton is fit, we'll play the same side as Saturday. If Barton is out, then I imagine that Guthrie will start for him or Geremi will start. I wouldn't expect changes.

I can't see how signing Campbell would be any different than when we signed Geremi, Smith, Duff, Butt, etc. All good players past their prime who underachieved.

I said it in another thread, but something lit a fire under our players' collective arses today, and I think it could be that they walked out knowing a sale was close.
