Fucking class cup draw.

You can be Harry too! http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/4852/arry2tc2.jpg

Shit. I decide not to go today, because we play boring sideways football and have been utter dogshit recently, with our games being ridiculously boring. We win 4-3. My luck, eh? Reckon we'll got tonked against Burnley on Tuesday without scoring... because I'm going to that one.
-
I am sure Bruce & King have had a tiff. King is a complete t*** of a man. Totally true. He's fallen out with pretty much every manager he's worked with in the last 4 seasons or so. Allowed? Yep. He also got a whack in the mouth from Ben Foster just before Foster left, according to Aidy Mariappa. I love Ben Foster.
-
So are we. I mean like next week! I don't know if I'll go. We've been so shit recently. We are going down. Us, Charlton and Southampton (who btw will go into administration in the next two weeks according to a decent source).
-
Shit. We're playing Burnley soon.
-
I am sure Bruce & King have had a tiff. King is a complete twat of a man.
-
Great finish from Nugent.
-
"Tony, do you think you having been Harry's number 2 will give you an advantage today?" "No, I don't think that's irrelevant at all. Harry changes a lot etc." Stupid twat.
-
I hate the bagpuss cunt.
-
I know we've arrived now that we're getting the rub of the green on decisions. We won't fully be there until I see Barry being the fifth official like that cunt Gerrard. God, that reminds me of bloody Brian Howard today. Seems to think he's Mr Big having scored at Anfield, fouls one of our defenders, was lucky to get away with a yellow then begins refereeing the game by forcing the free kick back half a yard, whilst having a go at the ref. Little wanker. (Even though he did look rather not-so-little, especially around the waist.)
-
I feel the same way. It's torture. I agree completely. Watching us play ridiculously heartlessly and without any form of potency against an average Blunts team, to be beaten by two goals scored by two seperate strikers who both unwillingly left us to join Sheffield United. Fuck off man. What a load of fucking shit. We have a team of fucking mercenaries. A wanker of a manager who wants to play tippy tappy sideways football. It's like fucking Gianluca Vialli all over again, except with other teams kids and we're in a relegation battle. Fuck football. Fuck it all.
-
We're going down.
-
I'd be surprised if it wasn't cash up-front. Very surprised.

I've seen a little talk of relegation on here. I'd argue that your situation is slightly different to clubs mentioned such as Watford, Southampton, Norwich, Wolves etc. You have guaranteed revenue, Newcastle are a big club and have a great infrastructure. It could be argued that Southampton have a fantastic infrastructure and facilities also, but they have not got guaranteed attendances, which Newcastle with football being 'religion' in the north-east would maintain better. Such guaranteed revenue and general lack of debt (thanks to Mike Ashley, who arguably is preparing to bounce back from relegation ) would mean that Newcastle wouldn't go the way of Leeds, in terms of having to sell players and do things on the cheap. Of course, Newcastle wouldn't be 'big-spenders', but in the same way that Birmingham/WBA have been able to spend whilst in the Championship at a sustained rate, due to attendances/merchandising/general fixed fanbase would be more than enough to get you back out. There are a load of players, who are sub-standard to your side at the moment who would kill to play for Newcastle (would Ameobi leave if relegated? Other players who support Newcastle, but are scattered across the Championship etc. would not be put off as the potential is there to see). Also, if Ashley decided to sell on the back of relegation, the huge potential for a large club and relatively cheap price due to relegation would see that you get a half-decent backer who'd at least bankroll promotion. Southampton, Watford etc. have fans who don't necessarily stay through thick and thin, some who go to watch good teams play, who'd then flock to Reading/Portsmouth from Southampton or Arsenal/Tottenham when the plucky little local club drops out of the top flight. Attendances would drop for Newcastle, but fairweather fans wouldn't flock to Boro/Sunderland, staying loyal, perhaps buying merchandise and attending the odd cut-price game, but not disappearing completely. Relegation for Portsmouth would be a disaster. Huge debt, unsustainable wage bill, crap facilities, craphole of a place. Relegation for Newcastle would be a chance to regroup. Little debt, players who would play for the club at a lower wage (those perhaps who weren't deemed good enough and were sold to CCC teams), great facilities, not a place that players would wish to avoid like the plague either. Playing in front of 40,000 a week (which it perhaps would be if you were relegated) is something that any player who may not be good enough to play for a top team, would want to do every week. Playing at SJP would be an honour to a lot of players, playing at Fratton Park/Vicarage Road/half-empty St Marys. Not necessarily so. I think you'd bounce back either in the first or second season if you were to be relegated. You wouldn't linger in the second tier like Coventry, Newcastle is much bigger than Coventry. Coventry's a fucking shithole.

You never know, it might be something to do with how they got their money, or their authoritarian rule of a million or so people. They've inherited billions off the back of a genetic fluke, and are ploughing it into ruining English football while ignoring the problems of their own populace and their Emirate's inevitable collapse as it's only tangible source of income runs out.* Yeah, I just hate them cause they're rich, that's it, I'm a hippy. I'm going to try and briefly** make my point though, in a nice simple chart form. And before I do I should add that City's new owners are merely an ultimate result of where football has been going over the last decade, its not entirely their fault, but if you'll excuse the slightly racist pun, they'll be the palm tree that breaks the camel's back. Abu Dhabi is not Dubai, they are richer and are seemingly more prudent in their investments, not as superfluously flamboyant as Dubai seems, but with an actual focus behind the spending. They need to spend some of their petro-money and immediately, as to ward off inflation, which is a problem that could plague the likes of Kuwait and Qatar whose oil money cannot be spent due to lack of infrastructure etc. then they're hit by inflationary crisis. Abu Dhabi is less afflicted by problems in comparison to Dubai, who'll face their property bubble bursting (if it hasn't already), the maltreatment of foreign workers and ethics behind that in addition to the dwindling 'pure-blood' Emirati populous. Some of these affect Abu Dhabi, but a lot less, I'd say.

So is rogers any bloody good? Or is he just some marketing hype? (By Mourinho) Needs time. We were in a shit position anyway, it's just results have conspired against us today. I reckon he'll still come good once he gets rid of some of the shit we have, Doyley, McAnuff etc.
-
What a shit bunch of results today. We're fucked, one point out of the relegation zone.
-
STOP! Hameur time.
-
Yous only "owned" one of the really good ones though Yeah, Darius.
-
Ahhh man, Aidy's just reeled off a list of players who've come and gone in the time he was at the club. Some class players there. Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Bouazza, Shittu, Ben Foster, Adam Johnson, Hendo, etc. Even Darius would add heavily to our team atm.
-
Hoyte looked shit. Not as bad as DeMerit, but pretty poor today. Bridcutt didn't play but he's not amazing either. Cork is bloody class. I hope he gets a chance at Chelsea properly, if not, I'd love to keep him.
-
I don't know yet, I'm going to give him time. He's very highly rated, recommendations from Mourinho etc. actually able to get a player on loan from Arsenal! Has other decent loan connections other than Chelsea which is nice. We've been playing a bit like that so far, lots of sideways shit with the defence gifting goals and complete lack of potency up front, however I suspect that's down to the personnel (Priskin, McAnuff etc. complete crap) than his management. I want to see him build up his own squad and get them playing, I reckon there's a load of potential. Hopefully it doesn't go bad like Vialli, but Rodgers seems a lot more shrewd than that wanker and hsi comments thus far have been good, he seems like he knows what he's talking about. The only issue I have with his selection is Priskin ahead of Rasiak and the complete lack of Hoskins. But he's dropped Doyley and Sadler, good man. Don't think he's out of his depth, but when he gets the chance to build his own squad of players, he'll grow into the role and seem much more comfortable in it.
-
There were people wanking themselves to sleep in the hope that this Watford sub was going to join us. He's got decent potential to be fair, he's got decent heading ability and once he gets the hair out of his eyes, seems to be able to find space for himself. But he adds fuck all to play 75% of games, just milling about, then scoring once in a while. Rather like Rasiak, adding nowt to play but scoring, it's acceptable for a striker, but a midfielder has to do some marking and get involved in play, rather than be subservient to the opposition. He'd be good once he finds himself, but for a couple of million, the potential's worth gambling on. But then you watch Jack Cork play and O'Toole looks like plain shit that can't be polished. I rate Ross Jenkins more anyway, good holding midfielder... but then I watch Cork play and think how good he could be and it nearly makes me cry that our midfield youngsters are so poor in comparison.
