Lovenkrands has contributed much much more in an NUFC shirt. Yeah, I wonder why..? Hint: Loan. Neither of them are good enough for the first team, but if I have to choose a squad player I'd go for Routledge.
-
he'll do good as a backup player for us.

I think he's a keeper.... as a squad player. Sell Løvenkrands instead.

issue a "hands on Smith", quick! http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/6079/smith1j.jpg Later that day: http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/3065/smith2.jpg Hmmm. 21. August 2010.... you need to try 23. June 2011

I think he is Rangers fan... Even better. Would make them able to piss of Rangers then. Could even throw in McLøven for some extra spice!

Accept offer and send them Alan Smith

Same as I wrote in the Colo thread, I'm indifferent to Jonas. While I can appreciate his work ethics, I find him inconsistent. As long as we can find someone better, and that should not be a huge problem, he can go. Every player that comes in has to get some time adapting to the EPL, Newcastle United, and the new surroundings. I believe Jonas is more "replacable" than some on here thinks.

Just a few from Norway we should have a look at Markus Henriksen (Rosenborg), Kara (Tromsø) and Anthony Ujah (Lillestrøm). Also like Tarik Elyounoussi (Fredrikstad).

Sky reporting Pedro Leon has turned down Liverpool... Bet he's "failed a medical"... #NUFC

Goalkeeper Fine in this position. Either Krul or Forster as 1st GK. Harper's days are over more or less. Harper Krul Forster Centre Back Coloccini indisputably the best CB. We could do with another CB Coloccini Williamson Steven Taylor Kadar (How is he progressing?) Tavernier (Loan out) Right Back Where is Perch? Simpsons a starter for me. Ryan Taylor should leave. Need a RB. Simpson Steven Taylor Ryan Taylor Gosling (more of a midfielder for me) Tavernier (see above) Left Back Fine here, as long as Enrique stays. I think he will leave though. Neil Taylor can possibly be "the new Perch." Enrique Ferguson Kadar Neil Taylor Central Midfield Very good here. Tiote Cabaye Barton Ben Arfa Marveaux Smith (Will hopefully leave) Guthrie (Should leave) Gosling Coloccini Donaldson (Loan out) Vuckic (How is he progressing?) Ryan Taylor (se above) Richardson (Loan out) Right Midfield Need a new RM. Ben Arfa Barton (As much as he is important to us now. I want him out) Gosling Routledge (Keep and see how he does) Ryan Taylor (see above) Lovenkrands (Bye, bye) Guthrie Gutierrez (its a keeper until we find a better replacement.) Ranger (Most likely gone) LuaLua (Leaving...?) Left Midfield Ok here Marveaux Gutierrez (See above) Ben Arfa Ferguson Lovenkrands (see above) Vuckic (see above) Guthrie (see above) Barton (see above) Lua Lua (see above) Neil Taylor (see above) Wide striker/Inside Forward OK here Ben Arfa Marveaux Lovenkrands (see above) Ranger (see above) Routledge (see above) Ba Lua Lua (see above) Sammy Ameobi (Loan out) Donaldson (Loan out) Striker Need two more. Xisco missing? I'd give Xisco chance. Ba Shola Ameobi (The day he's leaving I'll jizz my pants) Best (Should be kept as backup) Lovenkrands (see above) Ranger (see above) Sammy Ameobi (see above) Donalson(see above) Airey (Loan out)

He knows he'll not get his wage matched in his next offer be it from us or elsewhere. I think as long as we offer in the £50-55k bracket which we've been offering Nolan, and signing Cabaye on, he'll stay. That might be true, but it remains to see whether he agrees with us, or decides to pursue his luck elsewhere. Nonetheless, I'm excited to see how Colo will perform this season, as he has spent some time now trying to adapt to English football. IMO he still has 2-3 good years ahead of him.

Might as well get a CB while we're at it. Then we're frothing. Ayeeeee. No excuse to leave that area unattended. Get some big beasty CB on board. George Elokobi ? He's a fullback That's why I didn't highlight CB, but just hightlighted ...........

Indifferent, as long as he is replaced with ... say... a David Luiz-type of player. His current wages are scaringly high, and thus put him as the prime target No.1 to get rid of under the current regime. Ba and Marveaux are possibly high-risk gambling due to their injury record, and the season can turn out to be a disaster if/when they get injured without decent backups.

House music all night long! Went to bed at 11:30 last night, and woke up to this transfer. Better than a house music night, hopefully

Guys, do you think this means Jonas or Barton will Leave. Getting, Taylor, does that mean Jose will leave? Getting Barnetta means...? "StellaJase Jase by nufcfans @ @nufcfans Ashley said Carroll money would be used for contracts so if these players are on 40k a week that's £20.8m gone so far. #NUFC"

MsiDouglas Mark Douglas Just to add to that: more of the Ranger calibre than the Enrique calibre, the exit. #nufc 4 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply

It's ultimately down to who you choose to believe. While you could argue that Nolan is old, slow, and offers little, apart from his goals, you really shouldn't undermine the importance he played as a captain, and apparently in the dressing room. It's hard to put a fair price tag on the latter, but judging by Barton's comments/behaviour on twitter, and Enriques hesitation regadring his contract renewal, I firmly believe we lost a "Shearer"-figure in terms of leadership, and that is what's worrying me.In addition to the fact that most of the players we have seem allergic to scoring goals. Based on the current regime's record of bringing in replacements and additional players, it's frightning to think of the negative impact and consequences this transfer can have on the remaining squad. Obviously, no one is arguing the fact that getting £3,5 mill for a 29 yr old player of his "normal" calibre is a nice piece of business. Age-wise he's probably had his peak, but I still believe he could've played an important part for us in the coming season. It's just that this is Newcastle and Mike Asley and Derek Llambas, and judging by, again, their previous action and the qoute above, I find it hard to believe Newcastle will have strengthen their squad come 1.September.
