  1. Thanks, man I really do appreciate that.
  2. I know. I think it's a little bit weird, too. I moved here when I was 12 and had to put up with a lot of anti football/England talk from school kids. The people who do watch football are from South America and you best believe they're on Barca and Real Madrid's dick. Everyone here wants England to lose everything it seems. I love Newcastle, have since I was three, but when the only other Newcastle fans you know are on this forum, it's difficult to have the same feelings as a lot of you. I actually didn't even know Sunderland were our rivals 'till 2005 and I can't even hate them like you all do. They're simply not on our level to me and I see them as no threat whatsoever. I'm surprised when I see the thread bumped and new threads being made because it's reached 1000 pages, because they're fucking shit and we're Newcastle. I'm a big Premier League fan as hard as that may be to believe. Right now I want Spurs to do well. I used to hate them before as they would take our players despite finishing lower. But now that I'm older and have seen so much bullshit in the game, I just want to see something organic. I'm naive and I think the better our domestic teams do, the better the national team will do. It's never the case, but here's hoping. As for Man Utd winning, they do compete in the CL and will spice up that competition. Also they have Rashford and some other English players. Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid have dominated the Europe for the past 10 years and Spain have won three titles in that time. I'm hoping we can do something similar.
  3. I can see how you guys would think that as I used to when I lived in England. But I live in America now, so I just want England and English teams to do well. Moving here made by England love go up like 900%
  4. I can see Man Utd losing to Celta Vigo. I hope not, I really want them win the whole competition. For years, La Liga has been winning the CL and EL and it's time that stopped.
  5. Wow! That's crazy. Azpilicueta is unlucky not to be in there. He's always been consistent, but I thought he really stood out this season.
  6. ESPN FC panel were saying Barca are on the decline and their era of dominance is over. Craig Burley was the only one defending them. The moron host said that Busquets will never get back to the level he was at before. Shaka Hislop just seems so stupid, too. Iniesta is 32, not 36, he doesn't need replacing immediately. He's probably got two-three maybe more seasons left. Also Ian Wright yesterday was shocking. I thought Messi played well personally, but if you heard his punditry, you'd think he was anonymous.
  7. Been saying this for years. Arturo Vidal is funny.
  8. Haven't seen that look on Conte's face before.
  9. Holy shit, David Villa just scored a half volley from the half way line.
  10. I also wondered about. The few times I saw him for Atletico, he looked nervous, but you could see with an extended period in the team, he'd be solid like he is now.
  11. Didn't look like a foul. Juve got a way with that
  12. I genuinely wonder if Real lobbied for it.
  13. After that PSG comeback, I can't take opposition goals against Barcelona seriously.
  14. They're not. IMO Wenger is getting quite a lot out of them. Doesn't excuse the finishes, mind. Transfers should have been stronger.
  15. Same! Yesterday he was pretty embarrassing. He was on the flopping and diving every time he was tackled. Missed an open goal. He just seems to take two or three extra touches at all times. Dele Alli on the other hand, I love. LOVE! I feel like for once, we have a German type player. Still raw, but makes great decisions at this age. I really believe he's the future of England.
  16. Are they using video technology in Spain? Kept seeing play stop for long periods during the Malaga - Barca game especially the first goal.
  17. A lot going on with Mahrez's haircut.
  18. Bit early to say that Def too early but he has been everywhere today. Having an excellent game. Barkley on the other hand needs to get the fuck up. He's been rolling around the ground maybe five times so far.
  19. Well this has started quite nicely.
  20. But he was a good player at Arsenal. He just looks ordinary at City. Career/money wise - Yes. But as a footballer, his levels dropped quite drastically. He also has averages like 20 PL games a season at City and shares the LB position with Kolarov. While at Arsenal, he was starting whenever he was fit.
