  1. Just that one as far as I know. May have a grainy copy of the 2-1 O’Brien win at roker somewhere but think that’s more widely available.
  2. Our last Wembley win was against Liverpool, mercantile cup 88/89? Penalties after 0-0 draw in 45 min game, then lost 4-0 to lower league tranmere, the forgotten Wembley trip and only one over not done in my time on the planet (not counting the spurs league game).
  3. They have two fairly easy looking games in the two midweeks before the second leg, home to finals Zagreb then away to girona, where they could maybe rest players.
  4. Immediately thought this too, suppose its a slight bit of complacency, we hadn't been to a semi since 1976, this was third 1/4 final in a row in the league cup. I think it was more open two years ago too, people seen Liverpool and Arsenal were winning around me and that sort of put a dampener on things, although it shouldn't have really as was to be expected.

I’m sure it was wet that day too. Had 10k lock outs in that opening 11 game winning run, apparently. My first season ticket season, £83 in the east stand paddocks for kids.

i'm sure for the first stage there was hell on as ST had to buy a bundle, I feel like mine was £35 in the east paddock but thats a guess, which at over £100 for three seemed a lot at the time.
  10. balls my kids cancelled too, although the bayern and celtic trefoil stuff that was well cheap remains.
  11. Think only chance will be if stars align in cups, not holding out much hope.
  12. The big match revisited was on itv today showing highlights of us away to Leicester in 1984

I remember a healthy round of applause for Dwight yorke when he got a hat trick in 97.

    St James' Park

Fairly audible applause for their first goal, feel like thats something that wouldn't happen now, maybe it was just because nobody was that arsed about that cup!
