Yeah I was row 5 and the first 4 rows were moved for the larger boards for barca in 97 so my yellow kappa jacket was clearly visible when Gillespie started his long run for the third goal. The mackems 'no fans' derby in 97 was amusing as there was a gobby mackem in a box.

The black and white seats in the east stand were a strong look too. Used to be easy to find myself on highlights as I was in front of the csl box. Wonder how many extra seats it provided getting rid of the boxes.

I think it is worse without a sponsor, clean looking shirts look better unsporsored imo. Hopefully we get something sorted from a financial perspective.

Not sure if it’s been said as missed the last few pages but them doing so well has made our failure more stark. If they hadn’t came up it would still have been a hugely disappointing season but the difference between coming 8th and 12th wouldn’t have been so galling. Hopefully we get them after a trip to Eastern Europe etc and get some revenge in the derbies next season, but more importantly finish in the European places and hopefully have a good domestic cup run. It’s going to be another congested season really with Man City an unknown quantity after pep, probably still strong, us spurs and Chelsea not in Europe. I’d expect Liverpool to improve and man United to regress a bit. Sunderland will be fine I think too, but maybe struggle to emulate this season. No reason why they can’t go deep in the Europa sadly.
