Great to see him on form. He absolutely loves playing for us (who wouldn’t)
-
Born in Wembley London. Played for Norwich. Him and his twin brother were boyhood Newcastle fans (Jacob's on the right). "Murphy's mother, Maxine, is from Birtley while his father, John, hails from Ashington. A number of the 25-year-old relatives still live in Gateshead and they are all huge Newcastle supporters!" (older story as he's 29 now).

He’s been such a reliable squad member, and improved under Eddie. -

Eddie Howe on Emil Krafth, who is nearing a return to action: "Emil is working well after undergoing an operation on his collar bone .... He's back on the grass and running. The big thing for him will be contact when introduced back into group training." Will be good to have him back in the squad. Big Joe and BDB putting his collar bone to the test in training! -
My work colleague is hyper and I’m more relaxed. We’re on opposite shifts. It works much better that way. My order v his chaos doesn’t mix. I’m sure he feels the same way too 😂 I get palpitations if I’m around him too much. He’s like a swarm.

Would love it if we got Dibling. Exciting prospect.

Eddie Howe on Jacob Murphy: “Jacob is very selfless, he always plays for the team, really takes a buzz out of creating a goal, he has always been that way. Those qualities every team needs.” 🖤🤍

Oh dear. Hope Big Joe’s not still a bit pissed at having his face stamped on -
It was yes! Even more incredible he managed to avoid it. That’s when he showed incredible emotional control.

I’m offshore for this working nights. I’ll be stuffed from our Christmas dinner at 01:00, in bed for 06:00. Alarm set for 14:30. Can’t wait! -
Remember how he miraculously avoided that 5th yellow last season after what seemed like a gazillion games!
-
“As highlighted previously, any Premier League player who receives five yellow cards is given an automatic one-match ban. However, this ends after the 19th league match of the season before it resets and starts again” 2 games to go!
-
Eddie Howe on team-news: “Joe [Willock] is fine. To keep Joe fit for a sustained spell is now really important for him to get back to his very best level - it will take him a period of games. Nick [Pope] is doing okay, he has had a couple of injections in his knee, quite when he will be fit it is still difficult to give a definitive date.” Nick states the next game then (probably not).
