Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree. Is that a poem?

Shola is the exception to that rule.

Good news, even though Løvenkrands will be banging on the door. One less player on the bench I guess. He had a very good cameo against Tottenham, but in his usual Shola-manner, he was lazy as fuck again vs Wigan (yes he was, watch the game again). Sammy will take the ring to Mordor.

It all comes down to the simple fact that Marveaux is the better footballer, and therefore the better choice. You just have to look at the momentarily impact he's had on his cameos. Not really professor shit to understand.

I'm not a fan either.

He has done a fantastic job, although the next PL game will show us a thing or two. I'm obviously thinking of Obertan, which now HAS to be benched for Marveaux. He has had some very poor matches in a row now, and Marveaux has done is job whenever called upon in very little game time. I guess you can't blame Pardew for not benching Simpson or Raylor due to them not being that shit, in comparison to Obertan.

So you're saying Santon shouldn't play UNTIL either of the fullbacks costs us a game? I'm only saying this because Santon is obviously superior to both of them. (based on what I have seen from him in Inter, and common sense).

Very much this. It's extremely annoying.

Can't fail to be optimistic after reading that

The Life and Times of 'Entertaining' Mario Balotelli

Didn't see it, but that's brilliant -
Indeed. Shola played well. HBA did not. Well? He did nothing noticeable, back to his shitness. But HBA played well? Obviously didn't see the game. I saw the game, and going by "6 is an average performance". Ben Arfa contributed nicely as the 2nd half went on. Lost possession a couple of times, but was essential in the attacking force late on, if there ever were any.

Shocking performance. We were not creating anything at all. Little movement and wasteful contributions from Obertan and Jonas (first half). Even though Marveaux only played 15 minutes, he showed he's vastly superior to Obertan, who let's be honest, is far from a starting player. He has pace... Yeah, that's it. Our current starting fullbacks are also weak links. Simpson with his usual Simpson-performance, and almost everything Wigan created happened on Raylors side, which caused him a bit of trouble. We're clearly screaming for fullbacks equal to the other defenders quality wise. Hey, here's an idea, there's an Italian guy chillaxin on the bench playing angry birds. That solves one problem. Now do something about it Pardew. That said we showed some glimpses when Cabaye, Marveaux and Ben Arfa were toying with them for a couple of spells. But that was about it, apart from a few half chances and Best's "I can't believe he didn't blast that ball into the net" chance in the first half. 3 points is wonderful though, and Cabaye's goal brought the tissues out. Also, Krul was at his A-game yet again. Class act. Krul 8, Simpson 5, Saylor 7, Colo 7, Raylor 6 - Obertan 4, Tiote 6, Cabaye 6, Jonas 6 - Best 5, Ba 5 Ben Arfa 6, Ameobi 4, Marveaux 6
