  1. I thought the Bin Zayed group had no relation to Mansour and it was the other guy the media was mistaking him for?
  2. Doesn't Greg know things or am I confusing him with someone else? Golfmag?
  3. Haven't seen much since Saturday around noon UK time. Anything of interest since then?
  4. Didn't one of the statements say they'd have more to say on Friday? I can't keep things straight.
  5. Is that really the shirt for next season? One of the worst I've ever seen.
  6. I think this might actually be happening...
  7. I, for one, have barely been on here since around Christmas as I just couldn't be bothered with this club anymore. This has my attention though.
  8. I don’t understand why the Bin Zayed group is releasing these statements unless they are annoyed by incorrect information being circulated in the press. However their statements are specific enough I think we would have absolutely gotten a statement from Ashley/the club if they were completely making it up.
  9. Or the Liverpool connection: The congratulations part is clearly for something else, not for Liverpool getting into the final surely??? The party on Saturday might be about the Scousers winning the Champions League though. The 'congratulations' is for what the article says.

  11. A key pass is a pass that leads directly to a shot on goal. It's basically an assist without a goal being scored. Kind of dumb, but anything else would be too subjective.
Clausola a 25 milioni. Al Boca è appena diventato direttore sportivo Nicolas Burdisso Translate: According to Espn, Inter, Atletico and Newcastle are competing for the Uruguayan central midfielder of Boca, Nández, 23-year-old in the fight and the government, with great assists in the Libertadores final. Clause at 25 million. Al Boca has just become sport director Nicolas Burdisso
  13. Seriously? They are amending sponsorship agreements after the fact and funneling money from the club's owners through a sponsor and into the club. They'd be happy to admit to you that they are breaking the rules because they don't give a fuck. What is UEFA going to do?
  14. Unreal to see it all spelled out like that.
  15. I think you have to say we have just by the fact that we'll have Kenedy and Dubravka for a full season and Mitrovic and Mbemba didn't play. But we're still incredibly fragile through the middle - we didn't buy a #10, Diame's legs could go at any minute, Shelvey is obviously a risk, and another injury to Lascelles doesn't bear thinking about. We'll probably finish in the 8-12 range if things go well, 13-16 if we hit some back luck, and around the bottom if we lose some key players. Without Rafa the only thing we'd be talking about is if three teams could possibly be worse than us.
  16. Wish we were tbh, not really convinced by what we have personally. Same.
  17. It's very cathartic. He's calling out the cunts brilliantly, but it's essentially proof that he's gone. I don't find it cathartic. We have a manager to take us forward and we are, at best, standing still. There's an alternate version of this that would be great. In a way I find this worse than Kinnear/Pardew as it was much easier to just not give a shit then.
  18. "They pretend" ... he's got us pegged.
  19. A cracking summer? I don't think we've signed or will sign a player at the top of Rafa's list.
  20. Going into the season without adequate cover/genuine competition for Diame and Shelvey is a disaster waiting to happen.

    England

Should have been over in the first 20 minutes.
  22. Oh man, all other stats sites may be useless soon: https://fbref.com/en/squads/b2b47a98/Newcastle-United-FC For those that aren't familiar with this network of sites, it started with baseball-reference and it has just about everything you could ever want to know.

    New TV Deal

This is the crux of their video strategy. Prime customers are far more valuable to them than a random Amazon shopper, so they use video (mostly TV series and kids content, but increasingly live sports) to get people to sign up for Prime. I think they've almost reached market saturation in the US in terms of Prime households, so it would not be surprising if they are going to push it internationally.
