Lee Ryder: Discussions on the fee, believed to be north of £65m, are now in place with the particular structure of the payments key to a successful outcome. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-determined-show-mean-29669733

We have alternatives on the bench but he keeps playing out of form players such as Burn and Longstaff. Would he play Alphonso Davies instead of Dan Burn? I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t.
-
Not good enough. With the exception of last season he has never been good at defending. We are shipping sloppy goals for fun and he is unable to adress the problem. For me he is a dead man walking.
-
He has lost it, and there is absolutely nothing in his managerial career suggesting that he is able to turn this. It goes from bad to worse.
-
Well, no game changers on the bench for this one so let us hope the starting eleven delivers the goods. Howay the lads!
-
Long time since we’ve been so sloppy in midfield. All three need to up their game in the second half, especially Shelvey. This time Bruno G can come in and really make a difference during second half.

You honestly think Krafth is the better option??
-
I think we should go for Fabian Schär as right back until Manquillo or Trippier is back from injury. He’s got some ball playing skills and is right footed. krafth as a starter is a no-go. He is nowhere near Premier League level and will cost us points.
-
If Manquillo is injured as well, I think I’d go for Fabian Schär as right back. He’s got some ball playing skills and we simply cannot have Emil Krafth as a starter. He is a liability and will cost us points.
-
Ffs. By distance our most important player on so many levels and now he’s most likely out for the rest of the season
-
Think we’ll have to embrace ourselves for Emil Krafth instead of Kieran Trippier at right back for the next few weeks… it will really, really feel like a rail replacement bus service.

Well, away to a current top 4 team is not where you’d expect us to pick up points neither this or next season. They have a much better team than us. I think West Ham will teach us a lesson and win 3-0. Bowen will be a handful. And frankly I don’t care; the Brentford match the week after is a 6 pointer. Anything at West Ham will be a huge surprise and a huge bonus.
