  1. never mind about the relegation struggle, at least we didn't waste any money in the transfer window What, you mean on the likes of Luque etc? Wish we'd bought more like him, maybe the chairman could've bid for Rooney again? Was that aimed at me? If it was, where did I mention it? Please show me. You are jumping on the current board after allowing them very little time to achieve anything. Why not compare what happens after another 10-12 years? You may have an argument then. What about comparing the 1st year of both regimes? more than happy to do that, however if you are happy at them not recognising a serious situation, then you shouldn't be. You ARE aware the previous regime saved the club from bankruptcy, the 3rd division and a failed share issue aren't you ? Thats fact by the way, not something I've made up to "defend" them. But what was the point in achieving all that they did (whilst making a shit load of money in the process), then leaving us in such a mess?

  3. Excellent, just another example. try responding ? Would you lead by example? What is your link to the old board/Freddy Shepherd? Interesting question, won't be holding my breath for an answer. Mick, I've been reading this board for a while, and quite frankly wonder how you haven't lost the will to live when he starts up.
  4. Is that another example? Stop asking questions Mick, you never get answers. so, you also think that we shoud accept we can't buy the best players from small clubs like Blackburn ? thickmick likes the board pre-1992, he should do too, because they ran the club just like he thinks it should be run. I don't think anyone signed Bentley in January but maybe you know better? If he was available I dare say he might have a better choice of clubs than just us. Fair play if we go for him when he is available. Remember when Freddie almost signed Rooney from that small club Everton........... You have to make them available, especially in the position that we are in. It isn't a difficult concept. The alternative is settling for the squad we have. Are you happy with it or not ? How much is preserving our premiership status worth in your opinion ? I assume you've missed the part where I said I wasn't? What does me not posting on here for long have to do with anything? Is that a put down?
  5. No reply ? Pleased for you that you're happy with the squad then. I'm not happy with the squad. It's you trying desperately not toapologise for Shepherd and Hall that I'm getting at.

I've not seen him say that.
  7. Same old, same old. Most people know the crack, this apologist won't change things.
  8. Can I say it again? It's a good job some of you lot didn't support NUFC when Keegan came the first time or all of this might not have happened. NE5 - Drivel.
  9. Can't believe this rubbish. If you lot remember the first time he came, we didn't perform much better than under Ardiles. Good job we didn't turn on Keegan then. Shepherd and Hall mostly reponsible for this mess, no argument.
  10. From wiki So he'll not have any feelings for them?
  11. That's one of the worst yet. Christ, will it ever stop? It really is unbelievable. I was just reading that from newsnow and came in here to post it. What a c***, come on Boro FFS, what a w******, hope he gets ran over or contracts some nasty tropical disease that makes his balls burst open. He has written that like a Boro supporter, because he is one. It's not the first time he's done it and it won't be the last. Most of the stuff he comes out with in that article are the same as you'd here from a Boro supporter and surprise, surprise guess where he was brought up...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Liddle Nuff said.
  12. There are quite a few peos and cons, nearly all of which are pointles, as he hasn't managed before. Poeple seem to have negativity towards him because they want to. There is a huge chance that he could go on to manage this club for years to come, purely because he will have 99% of the fans on side from the start and that to me is the most important thing. The only other person who could achieve that is Jose at the moment, anyone else will be a dead man walking.
  13. How about a question? If, at the start of the week someone told you that Allardyce would be sacked and replaced by Redknapp, what would your response have been ?
  14. Of course it's not ludicrous. He knows that he'll be finished as soon as he's started with England, our sh_itbag national media will hang him out to dry ASAP. We are a huge challenge, imagine turning us around? Imagine the achievement? Funny, because it was the media who gave us the label to start with, anyone notice a pattern emerging here?
  15. I think you had better find a tattooist, this is only going to one person
  16. I'm not sure anyone here was being serious. Apologies if wrong. I am. and no-one will be able ot give me a reason why not?
  17. The clause apart, don't be surprised.....
  18. Lee Ryder thinks he's some sort of gangster and gets up set at the slightest bit criticism. Luke Edwards is a far better journalist by thousands of miles.
  19. Totally agree with Wullie. It's disappointing that Platini has backed down from his 'too much money in football stance'. This, along with Sky and complete and utter greed have contributed to alienating the avergae fan from the game. Without trying to sound nostalgic, it's change and for the worse.
  20. The 'lost the dressing room' stuff is true by all accounts, senior players are involved as well.
  21. It's a difficult one. The sensible choice is to wait until the end of the season - assuming nothing goes badly wrong - then assess things. If we do this, there is the very real chance of getting a quality manager. The other choice is to get rid now - which I can sympathise with - and hope that Ashley has the ability to get a top quality manager in ASAP.
