Hull haven't won at home for a canny while but I fancy them to sneak a win against a Stoke, whom I reckon will take their foot off the pedal a bit. Think we'll have to catch Sunderland instead of Hull, I've watched them a bit lately and there's a lot of plusses for us to take - their front two look like they've never played with each other before, their skipper Dean Whitehead is definitely not good enough, Ferdinand at the back looks an accident waiting to happen and both Fulop and Craig Gordon when fit (doesn't look one bit like a £9m pound keeper) are dodgy. Can't see them getting anything away to Bolton on current form. If BOTH Hull and Sunderland win we are really left with a mountain and a half to climb and I can't see us pulling it off if that happens.

  4. Absolutely ages away. :-[ Hopefully the extra day or two will help to get a few injured players back (without picking up any new injuries in training). It may also help with the planning for a do or die game and hammering that point home to our players. True, but for a fan in our position it can be unbearable. Have a feeling it'll be an open game. Both sides in theory have no choice but to go for it.
  5. I fucking hate Monday games. Granted it's useful for folk who can't go to get an internet stream but the extra two days wait seems fucking forever when we're in this position.

Don't forget although Villa were in poor form, they are a quality team and Hull were outclassed for the most part but they showed bottle. I think they'll have more desire than Stoke who are as good as safe. Hull will have to go for it. If some of our players showed their attitude we'd be matamatically safe. Hull are shit but if they produce that bottle for the rest of the season and still go down, they can do it with their heads held high. They seemed to link play better when Manchuo came on and looked slightly more threatening, if Brown has any sense he'll play him. I'm still a 9.
  7. If they show more of the desire they showed in the latter stages of the second half, yes, then I fancy them. Mind Villa were also a team low in confidence and probably nerves set in and they backed off a bit.
  8. Villa were by far the better team for the majority. Hull's best chance of a goal was when they got a set piece. Mind their was hearts in mouths when they got a free-kick from the right in the last 15 and it got a glancing header. They looked a bit better when Mancho (sp) came on. Cousin is s***.
  9. Anyone reckon we can catch Sunderland if Hull win tonight?
  10. Got a weird feeling Middlesbrough will fancy their chances of giving us an absolute sucker-punch by winning. All eyes are on our circus, nobody expects Boro to do anything. Hmm.
  11. Yea we definitely need a new thread for the last few weeks of the season I'd post it myself but I don't have 100 posts yet.
  12. If Hull beat Villa and Stoke, and Blunderland beat Bolton and we lose, aye, we're down. Fucking hell, this doesn't seem real, didn't realise relegation could actally be soooo close away.
  13. Anyone else think that the Hull game tonight kinda deserves a thread of it's own?

    I'm on a 9. If Hull draw it becomes 9.5, if they win it's a 10.

That's the phrase I was looking for. Nail on head.
  16. My Brum mate says Steven Carr is their best player.
  17. I think Duff has looked brilliant since he's moved to left back.
  18. Alves isn't THAT bad. He can create chances out of nothing for himself and he has good movement and gets into great positions, BUT his finishing is terrible. I get the impression he is suffering a crisis of confidence, however it might be just me but I get the impression he could go on a scoring streak if he just gets that one monkey off his back.
  19. It's been said on here how Hull, Stoke and Portsmouth this season 'is going to be our biggest game in years' , however this is the big one. This is IT. The big monty. Basically do or die (any more cliches anyone?)

They can't stand the fact we are, and always will be, a bigger club than them sad c***s REGARDLESS if we get relegated. Exactly. To think of all the s*** thats gone on at NUFC this season we're still within reach of them. We are far from perfect but they really are pathetic. It would be f***ing brilliant if we finished above them. After all their s*** about how perfect their chairman is, all the money they've spent, and we're on our lowest ebb for years both on and off the pitch - they would f***ing never get over it.

I'll reserve my judgement until after Hull tomorrow. If they manage a win for me we're down.

They seem more obsessed with us losing than them winning. When we play at a different time to them we always have a match thread on the SMB. Look at their forum any weekday and half the threads are about us!

Wouldn't say that but she's definitely checking the time-tables North.
