Rob Elliot is injured in the Ireland game
-
3 of their 5 wins (if this score is maintained) this season have come after an opposition red card
-
I wonder if Ashley would go to Pardew and make him an offer he can't refuse if he sacks McClaren
-
L'Equipe reporting the Martial fee is €80m
-
£6m seems quite reasonable for a 22 year old Englishman that has played regularly for a Premier League side in this day and age. If he becomes a star and starts banging in the goals to activate the £3.5m in add-ons then it has been more than worth it. A shrewd piece of business by Pardew.

He should have put up a bigger fight to keep Pardew But the key issue is the present. He won't appoint Carver now. At the end of the day Mike Ashley has made more sensible business decisions than daft ones throughout his career and the money he would save by appointing JC is just a drop in the ocean to what he would lose if the clubs gets relegated

5 out of 6 away teams won, don't see that very often
-
A very good victory for Pardew's men
-
This can't be happening
-
Yes, the team sit a respectable 9th, won yesterday, 2 pts behind media darlings Swansea and and will in all likelihood beat Burnley at St James's the next day "end game", indeed. "end game" my hole
-
Like NUFC learned a couple of seasons ago ti can be tough to juggle the Premier League and Europa League. Even managers like Martinez are struggling with it
-
You appreciate the competency of your average pro goalkeeper when seeing lads like Alnwick thrown in at the deep end. The amount of skill required is truly under-appreciated. Alnwick struggles with the basics like routine catches and his positioning is almost always wrong. He is still a far better goalkeeper than 99% of the population but an absolute country mile off the standard needed.
-
Could be worse than loaning Given for a month
-
I'm sorry to say, but Alnwick will struggle to make it in the Football League never mind Premier League. Can't blame Alan for having to play him though
-
Careful, you can't give Pardew any praise on here!
-
Burnley have great togetherness and fighting spirit. They make life tricky for teams at Turf Moor and are starting to pick up points, even Man Utd didn't have it their own way there. All in all, a point is a decent result on the road in the Premier League.

What is he supposed to say "I think Rob is s***" ??
-
Pardew has got the tactics spot on again today
-
QPR visiting next week should mean another 3 pts and the win streak keeps on rolling. Pardew has answered his critics with aplomb
-
Very good team selection by Pardew
-
 Man he must be mint then. Aside from the fact he nearly relegated us once before The club every bottom half club seemingly aspires to be Swansea also had a poor season when they were in Europe. It's a difficult juggling act. Swansea last season didn't even get as far as NUFC did in Europe and still suffered
-
Confident the good run will continue with a point if not victory over West Brom and a home win against QPR the following matchday All that relegation talk was just scaremongering by the extreme branch of the anti-Pardew brigade - love Pardew or loathe him, he will never get this team relegated
