  2. You've been banging this drum since Sunday. What gives? howay stu, hardly banging- mentioned it maybe twice its something thats honestly concerning me. assuming we have to stay in the division for stability- is it ok to finish say 17th, and not bother how many come through the door? given so much money comes from other sources. At what point does lower crowds start to eat away at the attractiveness/ value of the club to sell on? edit- and stu, i might have mentioned it- if i lost 20% of the custmers in my business, i would be doing something about it. I'd be genuinely amazed if we had an average crowd of 30k in the Premiership. tbh, i agree, but i did ask hypothetically, i was trying to gauge how far people pro/anti ashley think crowds need to slip before he gets concerned. It appears nobody gives a shit apart from one on either side- and we both know how each of us feels.

  14. I just HATE the attitude of people that have a go at you for trying to create a bit of atmosphere. Even if I'm sitting down singing, people moan about it. Do they actually want the ground to be silent? I don't even bother with home games a lot of the time because they're so boring. What's the point? Why not just find an internet stream if you're only interested in watching the match? Much better view. It's largely thanks to the attitude of people that sneer at those that are trying to inspire atmosphere with comments like 'is this your first match?' 'wrong game mate', or look at you like you're committing a crime that football crowds are declining all over the country. You've got to remember that football culture is largely a product of raucous crowds from decades ago and it makes sense that the stifling of atmospheres will cause the erosion of that culture and thereby, the demise of the terrace football fan. It's got to the point where I enjoy listening to away fans sing stuff like 'where's your famous atmosphere?' and 'your support if fkn sht' because most fans at St James' deserve that abuse! lol Having said all that, St James's Park is thankfully a lot louder than most grounds on average, because there are enough regular attendees that want to sing. when im at the match and shouting and singing and some dullard tries to be a clever cunt, i go out my way to sing and shout more- right in thier ear hole if I can. One bloke called me chewbacca last season...
  15. i didnt even know steve bruce had been sent to the stands
  16. what value would the club have if he pissed all the fans off? If we don't make a couple of signings before the deadline I think he'll struggle to get those fans back. Everyone's cash is precious, if he wants best value for his money so do the fans. what business can afford to lose 20% of its customers and not be concerned?
  17. its the ashley factor im trying to start an argument about???
