  1. I don't think betting against your team makes you any less of a fan.

I bet on Whittingham to score first in the Cardiff home game this season.  We were 4-0 in about twenty minutes, and Whittingham looked about as useful as a large tub of nutella on the pitch.  I was still happy.  I'd rather lose money and win than lose and win money.  Winning a bit of money does soften the blow, though.

  2. I predict that if anyone actually get any right, they can't claim victory on here as then they'd be posting the fixture lists.

    :D

    Anyway, my predictions:

    First day: Chelsea (A)

    End of September: Arsenal (H)

    Boxing day: Blackburn (A)

First 2011 league fixture: Fulham (A)

Last day of the season: Blackpool (H)

  3. Second half of the season Bassong was terrible, so many needless fouls and lapses in concentration.

Beye was pretty poor all season as well, never got going after injury.

Enrique was solid as ever, in fact our only defender playing to premiership ability.

Beye was not poor all season, and Bassong was never terrible.

Enrique was no where near as good as he was this season either.

I'd say they were all much of a similarity, the only one with a notable decline was probably Coloccini.

  4. Capello suffering from Hughtonitis in his early days.

Play a left winger on the left wing, does that seem so extreme?  Joe Cole should have played there.

We're desperately weak in defence if Carragher is next in line.  What's he even doing there?

    Line-up should be:

                          Hart

    Johnson  Terry    King    A. Cole

    Lennon  Barry  Lampard  J. Cole

                Gerrard

                          Rooney

Anyone else concerned that Rooney's last goal in a tight international win (i.e. not a 4-0 or 6-0 win) was in 2005?

  5. Looks like Chelsea are handing players out on a platter, Belletti now too.  Surely better than Simpson.

If we aren't going to be making cash signings, these are the sort of players we need to move for for a year to ensure Premier League survival.  Ballack is not a long term option, but surely is as good as Nolan.

Would seem a real shame not to capitalise on any of this.  We don't want to be left bringing the likes of Pancrate in.

  6. Why would Birmingham want him, they've just spent £5m on a target man!

And similarly, why would we entertain the notion of selling him. I'd lose any of the remaining faith I have in our current set up if that happened.

It would directly contravene the club statement - building up using our own academy, as well.
