  1. Apologies, originally calculated that row as 'Mitro Appearances' so whether he'd either started or been brought on.

    Forgot that, later, evidently.

You've added "NO MITRO" to "MITRO COMES ON". It makes no sense.

    Well, no, I didn't.

Mitro appears + Mitro doesn't appear adds up to the entire season, so the season's stats are right.

    And no Mitro is correct.

Mitro comes on should simply be Mitro featured, and it's correct.

  2. Just compiled some stats now the season's over. This is for league fixtures only.

With Mitrovic starting, we tend to score considerably more goals but also concede more than when he doesn't play at all. We score fewer and concede more when he comes on as a sub (not really surprising given you'd mainly only bring him on if trailing, and looking for a goal).

I just read that deaths by road traffic accident peaked in 1974; as did sales of Mars bars. Reckon people were taking their eyes off the road to get the wrappers off?

You're clearly the only one having a more boring evening than I am.

  4. Players that are that explosive generally have tighter hamstrings, it's part of the reason they're so quick. Ergo they suffer a lot more injuries. If he learnt to be play within himself a bit, he'd be injured less. He's got enough awareness around him to still be effective without a yard of pace or so.

Would rather have him at 90% for 38/46 games than 100% for 20-25.

Really? I have the tightest hamstrings in the world and I'm far from explosive.

All cats have four legs, therefore my dog is a cat.

  5. without wanting to be (too much) of an apologist for Beardsley, the club did f*** him off to Carlisle first.

he was at newcastle before he went to carlisle?

"However, he was released as a teenager by hometown club Newcastle United and began his professional career with Carlisle United in 1978."

    Wiki, admittedly.

  6. Not been mentioned, but what a f***ing fantastic block tonight. He's an excellent last-ditch tackler, IMO.

Despite the fact it was his own fault he was in that position.  He's absolutely woeful, I've defended him a few times but he's genuinely s***.

He has his faults, no doubt. That catapult thing he does, where he has to wind up to swing a foot and pass the ball, drives me nuts.

He's poor as a full back, no doubt. Offers nothing going forward.

    But he's an excellent tackler.
