  1. The way they run the club is beginning to remind me of the plot of The Producers.  Seems like they're desperate to knack things up when it dawns on them things are going well.

Everything they've done so far regarding this has been to do with ripping the p*ss out of the fans IMO. f*** all else. Just look at the stuff they've put on the official site, Facebook, pictures they've used (and now changed), the timing and so on. I'll be f***ing amazed if any sponsor comes in, and sad as it is I'm resigned to hoping they do.

Honestly thats a bit over paranoid imho, I really don't think Ashley gives half a f*** one way or another what we think of him

Whether any sponsor comes in or not, damned if I know but my guy instinct is someone will take a punt on it simply because of the amount of extra publicity which it will gather and easy way of getting SSN when they initially cover it  if/when it happens and their brand name getting thrown around

And why exactly wouldn't they already know this? These huge companies that can afford to give £10m a year to a football club. Why do they need to see it on Sky Sports News?!

They don't man! It's clear as day they're using it as an excuse. I'm supposing that any fans who see a positive side are just hoping we'll see some sort of benefit from this, nothing more. I personally hope this doesn't turn into a disaster on the pitch, as that's all I care about at this moment in time when we're in mid-season, and looking better on the pitch than we have since SBR. I desperately want us to have a good season, so we can restore some pride, or whatever's left of it, and possibly keep our best players for the medium term.

  2. Most may still refer to it as St James' Park, but i'll still die a little inside every time I see/hear "Sports Direct Stadium" in it's place.

I guarantee you'll never ever hear that  O0

I've seen and heard it about 40 times today

    Bollocks

    (whoosh)

  4.

I'm doubtful he even wants someone to pay for stadium rights. £10mil is f*** all. It'd cost him a lot more to get his brand on an equally visible and respected location. He's saving money I'd assume.

 Totally agree. This is merely a stunt to justify using the club's upturn in fortunes to market his dogshit brand. It's very simple to see. In isolation and disregarding the emotional attachment I feel towards this issue as a supporter, it's a masterstroke from his business perspective. Simple as that.

  5. Just listened to Dekka and he spoke sense, if the deal is as he says to be..................hold up on shooting me down please.

Its just he goes onto the radio now, yet we have seen nothing and heard nothing apart from childish statements on the clubs website in the past, if we had some kind of relationship with him, Ashley and rest of the board, and they actually treated us with respect and acknowledgement, then maybe we could understand this decision as he explained it in that interview.

But as it is all we have are broken promises, lies, deceit and complete disregard for our views to go no, how can see this deal as he sees and put it in that interview, if the past has shown them to downright liars, we wont just wont believe what he tells us, and why should we.

Spot on! Would much rather they proposed sensitive changes such as this to the fans, through unofficial polling, to gauge overall reactions, and then make their decisions based on that. From their business point of view, a move such as this one could well turn out to be a PR gaffe with negligible positive results.

  6. This is a big deal and the fans will never forgive the owner this stupid move, however unlike some here, I believe it's far more important for the team to stay on a good run, amassing as many points as possible, than it is to create a bad feeling around the place because of the name change. Before anyone puts words in my mouth, I'll say it again, this is an unforgivable move. I would have been slightly less sickened had they actually sold the naming rights to some fuckwit who'll have paid them a large sum. The fact that they've put that dogshit brand of theirs on there has nothing to do with showcasing it to potential suitors  They are simply being dishonest and should just admit they are using the club to promote their dogshit brand! If you have potential suitors, you can tell them in the fucking meeting that you're willing to let them have full naming rights ffs! No need to "prove it".

They're such amateur cunts, it makes me laugh

I want nothing to disrupt the harmony though, so we can hopefully sneak into Europe next season, and hopefully someone will buy the club off Ashley and we'll be rid of this shit.

    Goals against

    Newcastle - 8

    Citeh - 10

    Liverpool - 10

    Man U - 12

    Chelsea - 15

In my opinion, Tim Krul is the the key person behind this.

Don't think you can pin it down on him as being the key. Yes he's been in fantastic form, and is mature beyond his years. IMO the key has been the organization of the whole team. The forwards press well from the front, the midfielders harry and break up play, and the defence execute the off-side trap quite intelligently. Obviously we defend well as a team, but every player puts in that little bit extra work to achieve the exceptional results we are seeing.

"We have to win these types of games, no matter which kind of team we put out. We are Liverpool Football Club."

Funny thing is, they'll probably be falling over themselves at that.

"OMG! HE'S SO AMAZING AND SO RIGHT! WE'RE THE BEST CLUB EVER #YNWA #JFT96"

    indeed

  9. theres so much s*** in the Premier League now.  I tried to watch Wolves - Wigan this afternoon.  It was so f***ing bad I turned it over and watched 'Wheeler Dealer's on Discovery Realtime.

What car were they working on?  :shifty:

a '57 Chevrolet Bel Air.  Stripped it down and painted it bright yellow.  :huff:

    Sold it for £16k like.
