  1. Just finished watching the match. Happy days.

Alreet there likely lad? Did you know we were up before watching the recording?

 no. But didn't feel anxious at all, grog and nibbles all nicely laid out, feet up an sit back and enjoy. Then they scored... Then we were playing s****, then the crowd was like a contagion spreading anxiety through the power of angst ridden moans... Then it was back to plan A.

All things considered, a lovely quiet celebration and reflection on the season (and the dark years before). Bet your sorry you asked now!! Though thank you anyway.  O0

    tl;dr  :cheesy:

Nah, in a way it must have been a nice not knowing the result and then getting that feeling the moment Ritchie's pen hit the back of the net...

  2. Sels, Gamez and Lazaar were each a gamble of sorts, having never played in England before. Buying Diame wasn't a "mistake" per se. He has experience of playing in the country and in this division, so we kind of knew what we were getting. It made sense to buy him, I just don't think he has performed.

  3. Had Rashford and Valencia in, so obvs benched. Jose, you c***

It's a fucking riddle guessing who Mourinho will play. Went for De Gea as he's pretty much the only certainty. Put Herrera in as well, hoping he'll play in the derby.

  4. Would love for the holy trinity to win it. No one deserves to win it more than Buffon.

Failing that, I'll settle for a surprise Monaco win. Such fluid incisive movement and beautiful hard-hitting attacking play.

Been a decent CL this year, and I'm delighted that twat Suarez is getting nowhere near the trophy along with his sobbing mate. Messi isn't himself, and sadly Iniesta is no longer what he used to be.

  5. It was Shane Warne who said: "Monty Panesar hasn't played 33 tests, he's played 1 test 33 times" – a reference to his limited approach.....

It was Bruce Lee who said: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times".

  6. Mitro shouldn't have given the ball away by aimlessly crossing it into the box. He successfully won a corner just before that playing it off the man. Not sure what he was trying to do blasting it into the box with no one there.

Still not entirely his fault obviously as there were ten men behind him who should have stopped the goal. The blame lies with the entire team and their lack of focus. Instead of playing to the whistle, most were too busy speaking to the ref about the 5 extra minutes.

  7. There was definitely a shade of complacency about Richie today, he tried far too much when he lost the ball in the middle for their goal. Could just be called confidence I suppose, but he assumed he could beat the lad easily and got mugged.

IMO it was a symptom of us not keeping our shape. This has been a problem recently. Most of the goals we are conceding from open play are due to us being totally out of shape. Keeping the shape of the team is what has allowed this band of misfits to be on course for promotion with the best goal difference etc... Something's not right. Has it coincided with losing Clark?

  8. I want to know why there were so many changes, why we were so lacklustre and low on quality and effort, why he thought those subs made sense and what he's going to do about our form which has us nosediving into the playoffs as things stand. All valid criticisms IMO.

That said, anyone calling for his head or comparing him to Pardew can go play with the traffic.

 Yup. One can actually catch something rotten just reading some of the stupidity in this thread.
