  1. We was tired from the trip down.

    Steve McClaren on the delay.

"The police did very well to get us here as quickly as they did. It's a shorter preparation but we'll just have to deal with it.

"It's a big night for the whole team. We've had a stuttering start but we need to put down a marker down and show a little bit more than what we've shown."

    That legit?

    Very much so

  2. He's on BeIN again, doing the pre-match analysis with Shearer. Not a single lick to report on!! Must have been told to get rid of it if he wanted to do media work. Credited himself with giving Carroll his first pro contract when he was head of the academy.

  3. Another of the Richards-on-the-bench brigade here :fool:

Ah ffs, didn't see he had an assist. Ditched him last second for Oxford with Lovren being the guy coming off the bench if he doesn't play. :(

Why would you have Lovren in there man?

The only defender worse than Lovren is Williamson, and as long as he's in Liverpool's lineup, they'll always concede.

  4. Think Lens and M'vila are actually decent. They'll probably scrape by again.

I do love it when people judge Premier League players on what they've done in daft countries like France and Holland.

Strange comment. Didn't you love Robert? He was from a "daft" country - using that logic we wouldn't have signed him.

If he had said Russian and Ukrainian leagues, he would have been spot on tbh

  5. Being a Liverpool fan sounds a lot like living in Russia

I wish we (Liverpool) were like Russia. An institution with unity, , leadership, identity, and clearly an aim and strategy. Not the mix-match and f*** up that we have with no accountability.

Jurgen can be our Putin. We need to act fast so he'll be our Putin, before being Chelsea's Putin.

But our owners aren't much arsed with on-the-pitch results, as long as we're doing well commercially (and we're doing great there), and they have even a bigger mess in Red Sox, and John Henry hasn't even been to Liverpool for over a year...so anything bar a relegation scrap or empty seats at Anfield won't see Rodgers sacked until end of the season at least.

Hope to be proven wrong though. I love a ruthless structure with desire to win and protect itself...and not just please other PR bullshit surroundings.

Already on first names basis with him and he's never been associated with your club in any way shape or form. He touched the sign. Must mean he has LFCYNWAJFT96 tattooed on his cock then.

  6. It's refreshing to see our manager, who's clearly a football man - speak about our players and describe their style of play or their capabilities.

Wat? You mean you don't miss the ahhh siemo, 'im's got a bi' e magic, we was finkin vat mike and lee and graham and especially me when we've bought 'im over from the neverlends im's a baller wiv fret and a good egg to give us somefink extra special on the frun' foo'

  7. Definitely Pardew level of hate for him now....I happily take Pardew over him at the moment. At least we'll probably beat a Mourinho managed side/big side once in a while. Rodgers' record against so called top 4 sides reads like a obituary. 5 wins in 24 (2 of which against Moyes Utd that actually finished 7th, so shouldn't count. 3 wins in 21. Nightmare stuff

He's lost everything that was was supposed to be good about him. Absolutely everything. Showing up at OT against the worst Manc side of last 25 years, playing like a league 2 side hoping to get a miracle...utter disgrace.

When RAWK mods turn on you and you can truly express your ill thoughts on the manager there without getting a ban....you know the tide has turned.

I think a humiliation at Goodison Park in 3 weeks should seal it. But really, it should have been sealed already. Klopp is out there, literally begging for the job, and this opportunity is leaving, because the ownership is very passive and the manager won't resign because he knows his level are likes of Sunderland/Huddersfield.

A extract from a Reading ST Holder when Rodgers was their manager, and it's scary how true it rings now:

    COx5uchW8AA6Xw2.jpg

But he took yous to second. Deluded Scousers never satisfied. etc...etc...

  8. Aye Simpson talks a good game tbh, doesn't sound like he gets involved a lot from technical aspect and that seems to be more Cathro's area of expertise but even so. If he's replacing Stone talking a good game is miles better from a default stand point he isn't saying " you are at your most vulnerable with the ball".

 f*** me had forgotten all about that.

"you are at your most vulnerable on match day. you might lose".

  9. Brendan Pardgers showing his ability. Or lack thereof. Liverpool are woeful, and there is some serious dross on their books. The team also looks to be overcoached and shackled for the sake of his "philosophy".

Then again, he did finish second  :azn:

  10. This is Definately a must not lose game. Nothing from this and then Watford and McLaren will be more than likely looking at just 1 point more than Di Canios horrific start. You just can't play catch up when you are adrift that much. It's imperative we take at least 4 points from next 2

Saying that to win games we need to threaten the goal.....something we haven't done in the last 2 games

What I'd like to see is more players in the box when we have the ball in the final third. We did that in abundance against Southampton, but haven't seen it since. That was probably due to mitigating circumstances, so maybe the aim for this match is keeping 11 on the pitch for as long as possible. Small victories anarl.

  11. "making things tick" = passing sideways? When I think of "making things tick, I think of a Xabi Alonso or Xavi.

We are NUFC not Barca, you crumpet.

"making things tick" = passing sideways? When I think of "making things tick, I think of a Xabi Alonso or Xavi.

Anita's role is first and foremost the defensive one, making things tick is not the only consideration, otherwise you could play a nice passer in there with no defensive duties at all.

Anita's crap at the defensive part. We don't need "someone to make us tick" like Anita does.... we aren't Barcelona, Ajax or Swansea.

  12. So can someone tell what Man City are getting for their £55 with De Bruyne?

Bundesligas best player last season and probably the main reason to why Wolfsburg ended second behind Bayern.

Seen him play for Chelsea Wolfsburg and Beligum and don't see anything particular special. What am I missing was the question not what his team had achieved.

Hard working and creative. Basically a massive upgrade on Milner.

  13. You just like to quote my posts.

Deuce said top 5 best players in the world. As if he was 5-10 and we are being harsh. I don't consider Gareth Bale one of the best 5 players on the planet but he's in the top 10 probably. Rooney's never been as good as Bale was in the 2/3 seasons before last season.

 what a load of rubbish. As if you're the only one with a list  Your arguments are so pedantic and boring I almost (almost) couldn't give a shit what your list is.

  14. 1-0 Belgium 86th minute. Looks like Wales will have to wait until the next fixtures to qualify now.

Last two games have been pretty harsh on Cyprus.

Very harsh. Just got back from this, and once again we (Cyprus) dominated possession but lack of support for the striker meant we couldn't translate the dominance into a real goal threat. Defensively Cyprus put up a great effort. Fellaini, Benteke and Origi were absolutely woeful. I don't think Benteke played a single pass to a teammate. Nainggolan and De Bruyne were full of energy and Hazard was sensational tbf. Both keepers made some decent saves, but two key moments involved Kompany who should have been sent off for an elbow, then got away with a foul and a stamp, and Belgium just played on and scored on the counter.
