Don’t know the veracity of these latest claims but if Bruno leaves for City he’s not the man I thought he was.

Completely agree. Four in a row was an impassable barrier - most football anoraks could name those clubs who’d managed three (Huddersfield, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd) - but Man City have just broken another one with little fanfare. Their treble last year just seemed a bit flat to me - a procession instead of a triumph.
I get that people think it’s funny that the same old clubs can’t get past them, but I do think that there is a joylessness to it all.
This is the system the ‘Red’ teams built for their own self aggrandisement. City turned the tables on them and are maximising their advantages. Now it’s ’not fair’. They could allow teams like us and Villa to actually compete by allowing our owners to spend but that would further endanger their little club.

If the club and Eddie think they can sell and bring in an improvment that im all for it.
He's been class for us, but the way we play to have a keeper that can pass a bit would be pretty transformative and help us be so much harder to press. If we can sort that out and then have a back 4 that can all play a decent pass (would mean upgrading on burn), teams would then struggle to decide when to trigger the press against us.
The only two players I worry about with the ball at their feet are Pope and Burn. Even Lascelles has improved a lot on the ball. Probably a bit unfair on Burn but when he’s at LB he’s more exposed and we’ve seen how much better Hall is at taking the ball and picking a pass.

It changes people’s perspective if you disallow the First Division goals Shearer scored before 1992. And penalties last time I checked count.
Shearer is the fourth highest scoring player in top flight history. Cole is joint thirty-seventh. They’re not close
Always surprises me how high Tony Cottee is on the all time list (17th). Post war, only Greaves, Shearer, Lofthouse, Rush and David Herd are above him. Although Harry Kane is one goal behind him.

Been a member almost continuously since the memberships were brought in before the ground expansion. The promise was you would get first dibs on a season ticket which was true I got a season ticket after the re-development. I miss the days when a membership got you a nice gift and almost guaranteed you a ticket for most matches. Last season I got to one game and bought three memberships (two adult and a child).

Really don't want Leeds to get promoted
Leeds are amongst the biggest cunts in the entire football pyramid. People just forgot because they spent almost two decades in the Champ/L1 and Bielsa made them enjoyable to watch for a time.
-
I don't generally get attached to players but from the outset it was clear he was a bit different. I'll be gutted if and when he leaves. Saying that the Carroll transfer hit me harder than Gazza, Beardsley et al, it was just so totally pointless and the player was worth more to us than the money we received. I started out in the morning laughing at the links with Liverpool and followed the saga throughout the whole day, broke my heart.

They spent £1 billion + £300 million to get their hands on us. So yes I can see them building a state of art stadium to replace SJP.
I hope so because it would be spectacular, I’m just wondering where their thinking is. A total rebuild on the same site or an extension to Gallowgate and a clever re-design of the East Stand to take us to 60k+.
-
Just slapping an extra tier on the Gallowgate and tarting up the East Stand would seem like an opportunity lost but do we really believe PIF are going to invest upwards of a billion quid for a state of the art stadium?
-
Hopefully they’ll avoid Castore’s total ineptitude, such as not having any shirts in stock for the first game of the season.

Klopp getting well and truly sucked off on Sky. The ‘net spend champions’
-
Are Arsenal ‘chasing’ Haaland and Foden too? That’s about as likely as them getting Isak or Bruno.

Murphy has been really good today.
Came on here just to say this!

It’s the inconsistency I don’t get, so frustrating, from battering Spurs to this

The Liverpool/Arsenal meltdown on Twatter is epic, will keep me going for days in between Teams calls next week.
-
City are benefiting from being ‘Big 6’ but they didn’t build the system - they gatecrashed it. They were fairly half hearted ESLers in fairness. I’d always prefer them to the American Red venture capitalists.

Even though the game was gone those Argy twats were trying to wind him so he got a card.

I know opposing fans hate him
but this lad is already part of the fabric of the club; on and off the pitch. What a bloke!

Bloke is a warrior! Silk and steel!

Always loved the 1230 kick offs!!!
-
Any win against these ESL frauds is doubly sweet. Just hope the defence can do their job and leave the front three to get at them.
-
We need everything we hit to go in. Hoping Isak, Barnes or Gordon have golden balls today.

Howe loves Burn at LB.

Surely more likely to be:
Burn Schar Krafth Murphy

If Leeds are having a fire sale would anyone consider Meslier? He’s been one of the most highly rated young keepers for a few seasons.
