About time…

To be fair, folk say team x played shit v Newcastle without acknowledging how difficult we are to play against. Liverpool are like that, but it's like they're on PEDs.
Not denying how difficult it is to play against a team like Liverpool but every time we’ve had the ball we’ve made bad decisions and given it away. We’ve not even posed them a problem yet which is disappointing.
-
Poor first half, we’ve been awful on the ball and we’ve not had if too often. ASM up front not working, we don’t seem to know how to put an attack together. This is Liverpool in first gear, we need to ramp up the intensity.

Wasn’t a foul unfortunately.

They’ve been around 120 years and i’m sure haven’t been brilliant every one of those years. They’ve only won 2 league titles without Busby or Ferguson, the last one about 110 years ago.

I favoured trying Joelinton up top to allow Shelvey/Willock/Bruno a go as a midfield three but thought he looked knackered the other night. Thought he was a due a rest.

Mark McGhee against Bradford City circa 1989/1990.
-
Bit of a theme with us being the better team in first half and abject in the second.

Then the argument just moves to the subject of what's too close to call an offside. There's no other way to do it outside of a bit thicker lines that they implemented for this season.
I’ve never wanted or agree with VAR fullstop. Adds a bit of drama for the neutral though.

That wasn't even the case in this situation. One freeze frame showed it was offside.Fair do’s.

It's impossible for one pair of human eyes to get those right but people complain because they love wrong decisions?
Honestly, the decisions where a line has to be drawn through several players looking for an errant toe or knee I’d consider onside. The offside VAR fundamentalists can fuck off.

Nothing.
Yeah it’s offside in VAR land, I think people get pissed off with its employment on marginal decisions where the human eye doesn’t pick it up and even several slo-mo replays and lines drawn are barely conclusive. It’s not what VAR was intended for.

Fucking hell is that Holly Blades. Litteraly the worst.
Jesus fuck drinking out the bottle? Surely not.

Swap him out with Joelinton, at least he can hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bruno/Shelvey/Willock in midfield.
-
Must admit I’m getting a little bored of watching him run around and challenge for headers. Yes he works hard but it’s quite excruciating.

The badge changes are so minimal they’re barely noticeable although after comparing the before and after several times the new design looks a bit ‘fresher’ in my opinion.
Either way, I prefer this to a radical redesign into some generic ‘circle crest’.

Just buy everything on Barrack Rd, student flats, business school etc. and promise to build them replacement state of the art facilities elsewhere in the city. Move the pitch across and free up space to develop the East Stand. Re-route traffic etc.

A plank of wood would have done better.

This is fucking gash so far, wish someone could get a grip of these games and show some leadership.

He's another young prospect, good player, but I honestly prefer Antony, speaking of international level has a long way to go, the 9 role in our national team is really a complicated one since we're used to guys like Ronaldo, Romario, Adriano and etc, there's a common feeling in Brazil we don't have a good nine in the national team since Luis Fabiano. Our options nowadays are Cunha, Firmino, Jesus, Gabibol (I hate that guy, so full of himself and was a huge flop in Europe) and Pedro.
In Brazil there's a feeling that this generation is bad because the only really outstanding attacking player is Neymar and he's been losing fitness for a while. Tite unfortunately don't know how to use Firmino so we lack a really good number 9. I think Cunha needs more minutes, but with Simeone him and Lodi are on a side that does not favor their playstile.
Btw Bruno is really underrated in Brazil except for fans of my club. People see him as a good player and nothing else because he never played for the likes of Corinthians, Flamengo and etc. Media here focuses on the Rio and Sao Paulo teams, so any player who has a good run out of these 2 states won't get the media attention (they still think Gerson is better than Bruno here in Brazil because he was in Flamengo).
I thought it was a compliment but I didn't get it
. Thx for the explanation, I'm self-taught in english and rarely get any chance to use it nowadays since I'm living in Porto de Galinhas, not in Curitiba anymore, so I'm a bit out of touch with some terms and slangs.

Porto de Galinhas is lovely, went there a few years ago. I’m jealous.

If "the fee" is £2.5m + £12.5m for avoiding relegation, then yes, you're scared. Because that's not a fee you'd ask for from any other interested party.
If we stay up we’ll be fishing for similar targets next season. We might not be a match on the pitch yet but we will be competing for players.
-
We need to forget about pulling £40/50m CBs out of CL clubs in this window.
Surely there is obtainable players that would improve us for a lot less. Leave the long pursuits until the summer and we know which league we are in.
-
It’s a risk, but all of these mooted January transfers are risks. He knows the PL and can score goals. I’ve always thought he’s a decent player. The risk is Burnley bring in Brereton-Diaz for £24m and he sets the PL alight whilst Wood scores 1 goal and we are relegated.

It's how I imagine my digital fans feeling when I sign half a dozen players every transfer window on FIFA.
Took the £1bn takeover ‘war chest’ and spent £950m before season started. After 10 games in 17th place!!

All of our issues today; failure to create chances and allowing Liverpool to carve their own chances, were largely self generated. I didn’t see a world class performance from Liverpool. Just a very good team rotating 4 or 5 first teamers keeping possession and controlling the game.
